A little anecdotal anti-gun hysteria I found quite funny, and very telling at the same time.
My wife, who is a nurse, was at work the other day and was showing one of her coworkers (a gun guy) pictures of our new safe. One of the photos is with the door open and many of our guns are visible in that photo. Another coworker leaned over her shoulder and gasped when she saw the photo.
She followed the gasp with this statement to my wife:
Ive met your husband before. I didnt know he was so violent!
To which my wife responded incredulously:
Hes not violent, just prepared.

#2. See #1.
I’m an anti-gun advocate. I don’t believe anybody that works for Government should be allowed to own a gun.
Exactly. I’ll never allow a gun in my house...unless it is carried by a government agent.
communism, abortion, barry’s tickles....
The Laz response?
"Damn straight. And he'll rip your still-beating heart right out of your ribcage and eat it, as the light dims from your eyes. So don't screw with him, chick."
Does the woman own kitchen knives?
If an anti-gunner has a fire extinguisher, call them a fire bug. “You’re an arsonist, aren’t you?!”
Does she own an automobile?
If that “co-worker” is ever mugged or r*ped, she’ll be the first in line at the gun shop as it opens next morning.
Not to pick nits, but wasn’t that more of an “armory” than an “arsenal”?
Must be a Chelsea fan.
Killing someone with a knife is far more “violent” an act than simply shooting them.
I would never take a picture of a gun safe, mine or anyone else’s, open or closed. I don’t need a picture, and no one else needs to know. No good can come of outsiders knowing what if anything is contained in any secure storage or even that you feel the need for secure storage.
That is my standard protocol.
Except for insurance purposes.
She might have said: “My husband abhors violence; he’s just very good at it.”
I think “arsenal” would be lsm speak for anything more than 1 firearm and more than 5 cartridges.
Roger that. My sister thinks I’m paranoid. I kind of showed her some things and she was going to take a picture and I told her no way. My first mistake was telling her. My second was showing her. I told her I didn’t think it would be a good idea if all of a sudden some of my stuff showed up on her facebook (yech!) page and her “bragging” about “Look at all of my brothers cool stuff”. LOL! I guess she doesn’t quite get the difference between paranoid and “it’s simply nobody’s business unless I want it to be”.
Disclaimer: I know some folks use facebook for business purposes and to keep in touch with family. For me.......nope.
camera photos have a script that tells gps position and time/date. Anyone with the right software can decode the script.
Where’s my Kodak Brownie when I need it? LOL! I’m pretty sure there are still some places that deal in actual film processing. I used to develop some of my own stuff back in the last century. (Now that sounds scary huh? Like sayin’ “back in the 1900’s”. :>}
Exactly. Which means about 50% of all FReepers probably walk out the front door in the morning carrying an “arsenal”, if not more.
I’m fairly certain drugstores still sell single use
