Skip to comments.Holder on Gohmert: What attorney general has ever had to deal with that kind of treatment?
Posted on 04/09/2014 10:58:19 AM PDT by cotton1706
Eric Holder ventured off script in a speech Wednesday to the National Action Network, the organization led by MSNBC host and recently-exposed FBI informant Al Sharpton.
Im pleased to note that the last five years have been defined by significant strides and by lasting reforms, said Holder at the conference of black activists, before improvising even in the face, even in the face, of unprecedented, unwarranted, ugly, and divisive adversity.
If you dont believe that, if you look at the way, forget about me, forget about me, if you look at the way the attorney general of the United States was treated yesterday by a House Committee, it had nothing to do with me, forget that, what attorney general has ever had to deal with that kind of treatment?
Holders remarks not contained in the text of the speech published at the website for the Department of Justice were in reference to a terse exchange he had Tuesday with Texas Republican Rep. Louie Gohmert in a House Judiciary Committee hearing about documents related to a terror trial. (RELATED: Eric Holder explodes at GOP rep: You dont want to go there buddy!)
I realize that contempt is not a big deal to our attorney general, but it is important that we have proper oversight, Gohmert said. He was referring to the House of Representatives holding Holder in contempt of Congress in 2012 for refusing to release documents related to the Fast and Furious scandal.
You dont want to go there, buddy! You dont want to go there, okay, said an angry Holder.
I dont want to go there? Gohmert responded.
You should not assume that that is not a big deal to me, Holder said.

It's perfectly healthy for the ELECTED representatives of the people to upbraid a foot-dragging, arrogant, appointed executive official who has ignored subpoenas.
What AG would let so much corruption occur under his watch?
I think something big is afoot.
Holder is such a whiner. Man up, you pansy!
HEY RICKY lets GO THERE!!
yo mama so stupid.... she sits on the TV.... and watches the COUCH
How about PERPETRATE!
Typical. Run and hide behind the melanin skirt and cry “RACISTS!”
How many AG sold guns to drug cartels?
Now get to see this punk running around and crying like a little girl.
I can recall Ed Meese getting it in the neck repeatedly from those who thought Larry Flynt was a hero.
Bring him back for more....and more....and more.
Go full Alinsky on him. Then you can accuse him of not doing anything with. F&F, IRS, pick a scandal .
Then get Obama to pardon him right around election time.
Does repeatedly repeating oneself an indication of mental illness?
What attorney general has ever EARNED that kind of treatment?
:: what attorney general has ever had to deal with that kind of treatment? ::
Well, Eric-the-Red, which other USAGs have been found in contempt of congress?
What other AG was a blatant criminal that should be in prison? Holder is the anti-Christ of the justice system.
How many AG sold guns to drug cartels?
OR told us -— you ain’t MY PEOPLE???
For any number of performance issues, like F&F.
The socialist left playbook says when caught, become even more “outraged”, indignant, and shrill.
“The socialist left playbook says when caught, become even more outraged, indignant, and shrill.”
Right. And use the word shameful a lot!
Uh, AG Dipwad, sir? What about John Ashcroft, who raped American’s rights about 2% as badly as you (admittedly incompetently) tried to do? Or doesn’t undeserved adversity count in your book?
Two words: John Mitchell
Hey Eric, Google up “John Mitchell” some time. Remember him? You could probably look him up by prisoner number...
Perhaps the other ones did their jobs?
“Cry racist, and let slip the lemmings of victimhood...”
Eric ‘ Dick ‘ Holder
Yeah, or allow it to go on without investigation and litigating.
Other than being Black, and possibly an asset to the Republican Party by still being an embarrassment to the regime, I can’t see a reason this guy is still there.
He’s in violation of his oath, in contempt of Congress, and appears to be covering up crimes that he fomented.
A Caucasian would have been in the Fed Country Club a long time ago.
It seems Holder is incapable of thinking or remembering. He wasn’t dry behind the ears as AG when he set free the new black panther thugs clearly intimidating voters in front of a voting precinct and the criminal act was taped.
Since then his ignoring the law has only gotten worse and now he’s crying about the way he’s being treated.
“You don’t wanna go there buddy.”
“...look at the way the attorney general of the United States was treated yesterday by a House Committee...”
Really?! How about turning over the evidence requested? To Mr. Gohmert’s point, it DOES seem that contempt of Congress isn’t a big deal to Mr. Holder.
Setting aside the original date the evidence was requested, it’s been about 24 hours. DO WE HAVE THE EVIDENCE NOW - OR DOES CONTEMPT OF CONGRESS NOT MATTER TO MR. HOLDER?
What the hell am I missing here? All this fuss and STILL no evidence? File the damn contempt papers.
What is it with Democrat public SERVANTS, who once elected, think they are Kings & Queens?
Gohmert was awesome! Just heard clips on Rush.
No attorney general has been a complete sleezebag, Holderdork.
Go away, quit breathing, and have someone dispose of your remains, Obamahole.
None has ever deserved it as much! That’s my reply to Holder’s presumption of respect for the office of AG.
Your behavior has EARNED the response you received.
Your behavior continues to be FELONIOUS!
You belong in JAIL!
No Attorney General of The United States should ever talk to a Representative of the citizens of The United States that way. Holder spoke like a two-bit, cowardly Chicago con artist.
Sharptons conference deals with a host of issues related to civil rights, including justice system reform and gun control.....Did Sharpton have a bullet proof vest over his head?
I cannot think of another AG who deserves to be in the slammer.
Yeah we get it Holder. It’s racism. How dare he!!!
fast and furious. Benghazi coverup. Refusal to prosecute black panthers. Joy over prosecuting a White man for the exact same crime that is being committed by “his people” against White people.
Willingness to lie to protect the big guy.
Ashcroft, Gonzoles, Meese, Mitchell. Guess Holder must have been referring to RAT attorneys general.
Holder was objecting, not to the idea that he was in contempt, but that he was lawless enough to not care that he was in contempt.
“You don’t want to go there, buddy?” That is punk talk from a racist punk.
