Holder on Gohmert: What attorney general has ever had to deal with that kind of treatment?
dailycaller.com ^ | 4/9/14 | Chuck Ross

Posted on 04/09/2014 10:58:19 AM PDT by cotton1706

Eric Holder ventured off script in a speech Wednesday to the National Action Network, the organization led by MSNBC host and recently-exposed FBI informant Al Sharpton.

“I’m pleased to note that the last five years have been defined by significant strides and by lasting reforms,” said Holder at the conference of black activists, before improvising “even in the face, even in the face, of unprecedented, unwarranted, ugly, and divisive adversity.”

“If you don’t believe that, if you look at the way, forget about me, forget about me, if you look at the way the attorney general of the United States was treated yesterday by a House Committee, it had nothing to do with me, forget that, what attorney general has ever had to deal with that kind of treatment?”

Holder’s remarks — not contained in the text of the speech published at the website for the Department of Justice — were in reference to a terse exchange he had Tuesday with Texas Republican Rep. Louie Gohmert in a House Judiciary Committee hearing about documents related to a terror trial. (RELATED: Eric Holder explodes at GOP rep: ‘You don’t want to go there buddy!’)

“I realize that contempt is not a big deal to our attorney general, but it is important that we have proper oversight,” Gohmert said. He was referring to the House of Representatives holding Holder in contempt of Congress in 2012 for refusing to release documents related to the Fast and Furious scandal.

“You don’t want to go there, buddy! You don’t want to go there, okay,” said an angry Holder.

“I don’t want to go there?” Gohmert responded.

“You should not assume that that is not a big deal to me,” Holder said.

Holder apparently does not remember the names John Ashcroft or Alberto Gonzalez, not to mention going even further back.

It's perfectly healthy for the ELECTED representatives of the people to upbraid a foot-dragging, arrogant, appointed executive official who has ignored subpoenas.

Bring him back for more....and more....and more.

Go full Alinsky on him. Then you can accuse him of not doing anything with. F&F, IRS, pick a scandal .

Then get Obama to pardon him right around election time.

Holder has ONE job.
Not to promote diversity nationwide.
Not to ignore laws that he doesn't like.
Not to let, "His People," get away with criminal activity on his watch.
His ONE job is to enforce the laws under the constitution.
That's IT!

ONE job, Holder!

Other than being Black, and possibly an asset to the Republican Party by still being an embarrassment to the regime, I can’t see a reason this guy is still there.

He’s in violation of his oath, in contempt of Congress, and appears to be covering up crimes that he fomented.

A Caucasian would have been in the Fed Country Club a long time ago.

It seems Holder is incapable of thinking or remembering. He wasn’t dry behind the ears as AG when he set free the new black panther thugs clearly intimidating voters in front of a voting precinct and the criminal act was taped.

Since then his ignoring the law has only gotten worse and now he’s crying about the way he’s being treated.

BWAAA!

“...look at the way the attorney general of the United States was treated yesterday by a House Committee...”

Really?! How about turning over the evidence requested? To Mr. Gohmert’s point, it DOES seem that contempt of Congress isn’t a big deal to Mr. Holder.

Setting aside the original date the evidence was requested, it’s been about 24 hours. DO WE HAVE THE EVIDENCE NOW - OR DOES CONTEMPT OF CONGRESS NOT MATTER TO MR. HOLDER?

What the hell am I missing here? All this fuss and STILL no evidence? File the damn contempt papers.
