A source close to Huckabee confirmed to ABC News that while in Iowa, Huckabee met behind closed doors with Gov. Terry Branstad, a fellow Republican, and other state GOP leaders and officials. In addition, he also huddled with several members of his 2008 campaign team based in the state.
His message to those he encountered Tuesday, according to the source familiar with the discussions, was clear: Keep your powder dry.

The Huckster will not engender enough support from the Base to overcome.
The Huckster: But remember, you also get his son....
Let me take this opportunity to drop a gentle hint to Huckaphoney
ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR FREEAKIN MIND?????? You are damn near worse than Hitlery!”
OK, thanks for permitting me this unpaid political announcement ;-)
I have a hint for him.
Don’t waste your time or mine Mike.
Watch him get the full MSM treatment; is there ANYBODY they’d rather have run against Hillary?
Setting up the palatable “Christian” as opposed to the “unreasonable” or “unelectable” Cruz.
Seen this game before.
Kill me now.
But yes, worst of both worlds, worst of both parties.
I will first sort candidates by intellect, academic performance and mastery of details:
3. Rand Paul
6. Jeb Bush
8. walker & Christie (tied)
Next I will sort them by Likability:
2. Rand Paul
Next I will sort them by perceived conservatism:
(fiscal, military & social combined)
3. Rand Paul
Finally who will fight Hillary bost effectively in debates:
2. Rand Paul
Looks like he would be ago along to get along, we need BALLS big BALLS to crush them like roaches
Yes, we need a conservative president to help force the federal government back into it constitutionally limited-power cage. But I will still question the motives of any so-called conservative that runs for president. After all, and with all due respect to his family and supporters, Ronald Reagan wrongly signed bills that allowed Congress to exercise constitutionally nonexistent federal government powers.
get lost huck
The duplicitous Huckster’s only purpose, should he run, would be to be another “stalking horse” whose mission would be to peel away votes of some misguided conservative from voting for the true conservative in the primary race. The self-centered Huckster knows this routine of splitting the conservative vote well.
So the Huckster is gonna run his game again for the GOPe? Get paid to run and split conservative vote so that establishment rino can win.
“Yes, we need a conservative president to help force the federal government back into it constitutionally limited-power cage. But I will still question the motives of any so-called conservative that runs for president....”
Well, hell...then let’s vote for anybody in the Republican primary who doesn’t call himself/herself conservative. That way we’ll get the conservative president we need.
