WASHINGTON, DC - House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) issued the following statement after the House Ways & Means Committee sent a criminal referral letter to the U.S. Attorney General outlining probable criminal actions taken by Lois Lerner during her tenure at the Internal Revenue Service (IRS):
“The Ways & Means Committee, led by Chairman Camp, has conducted a serious and thorough investigation of the IRS, uncovering abuses and criminal acts that should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. The House has also passed legislation to stop the IRS from targeting Americans over their political beliefs, but the president and Senate Democrats continue to block the bill. Our investigations at the Ways & Means and Oversight & Government Reform Committees continue. As I’ve said, if Lois Lerner continues to refuse to testify, then the House will hold her in contempt. And we will continue to shine the light on the administration’s abusive actions and use every tool at our disposal to expose the truth and ensure the American people get the answers they deserve.”
NOTE: On February 26, the House passed the Stop Targeting of Political Beliefs by the IRS Act (H.R. 3865), but Senate Democrats have refused to vote on the measure.
Like Holder will ever take any action.

Never in a million years. My question is, however, could a Pubbie AG in a future Pubbie administration prosecute her? I don't think that would happen either. I don't think we will have a Pubbie president anytime soon and even if we did, the Pubbie AG would wussy out.

Believe it or not, I do remember it. All the grown-ups were crying, an important man had died, Walter Cronkite was on TV and a little boy my age was saluting his daddy’s horse-drawn coffin. It is one of my earliest memories.
