IRS Official Who Targeted Tea Party Wanted to Work for Obama SuperPAC

It’s all one big revolving door between the Democratic Party and the Federal government. And it’s the same job. Help the left win.

Ex-IRS official Lois Lerner talked about taking a job with President Barack Obama’s nonprofit advocacy group Organizing for Action (OFA) while she had official oversight at the IRS over nonprofit tax-exempt groups.

The revelation was made Wednesday in the House Ways and Means Committee’s referral letter to the Department of Justice (DOJ) to prosecute Lerner on criminal charges. Ways and Means voted to refer Lerner to DOJ.

The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee is expected to vote Thursday to hold Lerner in contempt of Congress for refusing to answer questions about the years-long improper targeting of
conservative groups that Lerner oversaw from Washington, D.C

Note that she sent that e-mail about working for OFA just three weeks after she intervened in the review process to ask whether Crossroads GPS, an arm of Karl Rove’s American Crossroads, was being audited.

That was done in the name of making sure that 501(c)(4) orgs weren’t spending impermissibly on political campaigns after the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision. Oddly enough, though, only conservative 501(c)(4)s were of concern to Lerner; according to Ways and Means, she “turn[ed] a blind eye to similarly-organized liberal groups, like Priorities USA.” No wonder she thought of a job at OFA.

She was working for O arguably as hard as they were.

That’s the problem. We have extensive institutional infiltration by an arrogant left that is becoming increasingly casual about breaking the rules because it knows that there will be no accountability.

In light of corruption going on in civil service jobs, it’s time to re-evaluate them....all of ‘em...and the systems that prop them up.

Impeach and imprison Obama and Lerner

Obama is the one responsible for what the IRS does. and Obama ordered the IRS to rig the 2012 election by keeping Conservative groups from raising money during the election

For the record, most of the GOPe have no problem with what Lois Lerner did to the Tea Party.

This is all election year primary kabuki for the sheeple. Nothing will happen to Lerner. And the whole mess will be swept under the rug as soon as pubbie primary season is over.

Absolutely. There should be a total review of every single position in the system, the entire federal government to see who does what. Redo the budget from a zero baseline and have each position and expense justified.

Nah, too much effort. The laws need to be changed to STOP protecting these employees. Civil service protection was to keep politicians AWAY from creating an army of Washington employees who only worked for one party.

You can see the endless spending to keep these folks happy. The ‘unbiased’ government workers are functioning as democrats in key positrons. As a taxpayer I don't want to donate that much money to democrats. Let's go back to the old system. A President is elected and he brings in his own people. From top to bottom. I can almost hear the paranoid little jerks getting oh so concerned about it being unfair to democrats. I think they all should all hang their heads in shame.

It's 'Capital' Hunger Game assh*les on speed.

Heh-heh-heh---we dont need no steeken' AG Holder to get to the bottom of this.

Ace lawyer Cleta Mitchell---who represents True The Vote --- should subpoena every official document filed by Lois Lerner and her co-conspirator Elijah fCummings. Every document needs to be scrutinized in conjunction w/ possible connections to IRS terrorism-targeting, orders from Obama, favors from Obama, financial emoluments, govt fraud, etc.

Perjury, forgery, and voter fraud need to be considered. For example: Obama cheerleaders Lerner/Cummings might have coached voters to lie on registration forms, and perhaps falsified candidacy papers.

Falsifying Official Public Documents involves altering, changing, or modifying a document for the purpose of deception.......can also involve forgery and/or passing copies of false documents. Falsifying documents is usually done in connection with broader criminal aims, such as extortion, government fraud, tax evasion, money laundering, financing terrorism........

A person (or persons) can be held criminally liable if they are deliberately acting with the intention of deceiving or defrauding another party.

Falsifying documents is a very serious offense and is generally classified as a felony. This means that a person charged with falsifying documents may be subject to the following legal penalties:
◾Having to pay a monetary fine
◾Incarceration in a prison facility

Depending on the gravity of the offense, as well as individual state laws, falsifying documents can result in a prison sentence of 5-10 years. Also, if government documents or authorities were involved, the legal penalties may be more severe. ..... legal penalties may increase with repeat offenses.

The penalty for falsifying government documents is outlined in the Crimes Act of 1958.

Apparently Issa has info that Cummings and Lerner corresponded.

If the allegations can be proven, IRS/Lerner and Democrat Cummings faces VERY serious charges of getting unauthorized access to confidential Federal Taxpayer Information (FTI), a violation that could land them in jail-----and if they colluded to obtain numbers of FTI's from Conservative 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) groups--that could involve other serious crimes.

If Elijah does, in fact, possess unauthorized tax documents obtained through conspiracy and collusion, and if he distributed the illegally-held documents to other "interested parties" (perhaps in Congress), charges of aiding and abetting could also be involved.

ALL OF THIS THIS NEEDS TO GO VIRAL One of the Articles of Impeachment drawn up against Richard Nixon was merely "threatening" to use the Internal Revenue Service to selectively audit political opponents.

OBAMA HAS WEAPONIZED THE IRS AGAINST POLITICAL OPPONENTS ordering multiple covert campaigns of intimidation, threats, and persecution of tea party/conservative organizations, and those daring to criticize Obama's agenda.

<><> Seven lock-stepping Democrats scared-***tless of losing their seats ask the IRS to “Investigate” political opponents,

<><> Rep Elijah Cummings led the Democrat pack in smearing True the Vote patriot Catherine Englebrecht....

<><> the FBI, ATF, the IRS, and OSHA were sicced on Catherine Englebrecht, as she valiantly tried to improve the US voting system.

<><> The IRS (a tax-funded L/E agency) takes its marching orders from Democrat;

=======================================

DEMS STOOP TO CONQUEUR--order IRS to act to save their seats
by Alexander Bolton, The Hill, 2/13/14

Senate Democrats facing tough elections this year want the IRS to play a more aggressive role in regulating outside groups expected to spend millions of dollars on their races. In the wake of the IRS targeting scandal, the Democrats are publicly prodding the agency instead of lobbying them directly.

Dems are also careful to say the IRS should treat conservative and liberal groups equally, but they’re concerned about an impending tidal wave of attack ads funded by GOP-allied organizations. Much of the funding for those groups is secret, in contrast to the donations lawmakers collect, which must be reported publicly.

One of the most powerful groups is Americans for Prosperity, funded by the billionaire industrialists Charles and David Koch. It has already spent close to $30 million on ads attacking Democrats this election cycle.

“If they’re claiming the tax relief, the tax benefit to be a nonprofit for social relief or social justice, then that’s what they should be doing,” said Sen. Mark Begich (D), who faces a competitive race in Alaska. “If it’s to give them cover so they can do political activity, that’s abusing the tax code. And either side."

Asked if the IRS should play a more active role policing political advocacy by groups that claim to be focused on social welfare, Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.) responded, “Absolutely. Both on the left and the right,” she said. “As taxpayers, we should not be providing a write-off to groups to do political activity, and that’s exactly what we’re doing.”

Shaheen called the glut of political spending by self-described social welfare groups that qualify under section 501(c) (4) of the tax code “outrageous.” Shaheen is in a good position now but could find herself embroiled in a tight campaign if former Sen. Scott Brown (R-Mass) challenges her.

Sen. Mark Pryor (Ark.), the most vulnerable Democratic incumbent, said the IRS has jurisdiction over 501(c)(4) groups, as well as charities, which fall under section 5/01(c)(3) of the tax code and sometimes engage in quasi-political activity.

“That whole 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4) [issue], those are IRS numbers. It is inherently an internal revenue matter,” he said. “There are two things you don’t want in political money, in the fundraising world and expenditure world. You don’t want secret money, and you don’t want unlimited money, and that’s what we have now.” --SNIP--

The Bank Secrecy Act needs to be mobilized ASAP.

Under the Bank Secrecy Act, banks are required to establish, implement and maintain programs designed to detect and report suspicious activity indicative of money laundering and other financial crimes.

“The Bank Secrecy Act was enacted to protect the public from harm by identifying and detecting money laundering from criminal enterprises, terrorism, tax evasion or other unlawful activities,” the special agent in charge for Internal Revenue Service Criminal Investigation, explained.

L/E needs to examine all of the bank accounts of Organizing for America.

The "Bank Secrecy Act" was passed to protect the public from harm by identifying and detecting criminal enterprises, money laundering, tax evasion or other unlawful activities.

Under the Bank Secrecy Act, banks are required to establish, implement and maintain programs designed to detect and report suspicious activity that might be indicative of govt fraud, money laundering, embezzlement, and other financial crimes.

<><> Joint bank accounts might be used to facilitate the transfer of of govt funds. Govt monies may pay for personal and private expenses, credit cards, real estate sunsidies and vehicle purchases.

<><> To cover their tracks, fake invoices might be created to show that money deposited into accounts was being used for legitimate govt purposes.

The scheme might be advanced by issuing phony statements of payments from federal and state sources that actually covered the transfer of funds for govt employees own use.

<><> L/E is directed to get ahold of: (1) copies of OFA checks, (2) wire transfers, (3) account statements, (4) invoices, (5) bills, (6) delivery tickets, (7) correspondence including e-mail, contracts, loan agreements, and, (8) any other books or records. L/E should also explore (a) monies paid to brokers, sub-brokers, (b) family members, (c) mortgage brokers, (d) financial managers, and, (e) real estate agents, brokers, and developers.

<><> L/E should scrutinize OFA bank accounts for suspicious activites: (A) large deposits, (B) funds transferred from one account into another, (C) frequent requests for withdrawals.

<><> Bank records might also show diversions to secret LLC other accounts, to operate personal businesses. Govt fraud can also be facilitated by withdrawals, gift cards purchases, credit card purchases and intrabank transfers from govt accounts into personal accounts.

<><> A huge tipoff is whether bank withdrawals support payments for real estate, investment and stock holdings, jewelry, luxury vehicles, resort travel and gifts from luxury outlets for wives and mistresses.

Taxpayers demand the Bank Secrecy Act be used to prosecute govt fraud pronto.
