Probably, does it matter? The Senate rubber stamps all Obama appointments.

"does this new post require senate confirm? "

I suspect so. One of Dingy's "Senior Advisers" of just 3 years ago was confirmed this week to be the Director of the BLM (to allow the BLM to continue to run rough-shod over Nevada.)

Senate confirmation is required but, given Reid’s new ‘nuclear option’ filibuster rules, an appointment like this will require only 51 votes rather than the former 60.

So she is in, no matter the phony battles, drama and histrionics which Republicans will inevitably play the fool.

Zero experience in the real world.

You may be correct, but her history at McKinsey could show she was in the very top percentile of those who could straighten out business issues.

I have to admit, I overlooked that, concentrating on her government and charitable foundation experience.

She was neck deep in the idiocy that happened in the Gvt shutdown. Like the barricading of the WWII memorial.

Her confirmation hearings could be the second offa one-two punch (the first being Lois Lerner) showing the deep infiltration and manipulation for political purposes of the bureaucracy by the Democrats.

Not necessarily true. Recall that Obama's pics for running the DoJ Civil Rights Division and Surgeon General were both shot down BECAUSE of the rule change.

There are a LOT of Red State Democrats who don't want to go home and try to defend voting for left-wing radicals. I'm not saying I support the nuclear option, but it has changed the dynamic to where Dems can no longer shield themselves from difficult votes because the Republicans are the ones filibustering.

I'd LOVE to see someone like Mary Landrieu or Al Franken, or Mark Warner have to go home and explain to WWII Vets and their families voting to confirm the one who ordered their Memorial barricaded off.
