Greta Van Susteren Backs Dem Candidate Into a Corner, Forces Him to Admit Big Lie

Democratic congressional candidate Mike Dickinson recently promised to wage “war” on the NRA, Tea Party and Fox News. On Thursday, he was confronted by Greta Van Susteren in a tense exchange that ended with an embarrassing admission.

“Why do you hate me?” Van Susteren asked, immediately getting to business.

Dickinson, who is challenging Rep. Eric Cantor (R-Va.) in November, said he has a problem with her network as a whole.

Then Van Susteren dropped the hammer by exposing a lie Dickinson once told about being CEO of a company.

“That’s really bad to portray yourself not as who you are, right?” Van Susteren began, knowing exactly where she was going. She then read a letter Dickinson sent to a Virginia newspaper in which he falsely claimed to be the CEO of Mid-Atlantic Show Clubs, a cluster of strip clubs.

“I consulted for them, I did,” Dickinson said in his defense.

“It says CEO of Mid-Atlantic. Were you the CEO?” Van Susteren pressed.

“You got me there,” Dickinson admitted, looking embarrassed.

Is adding the /s suffix really necessary every time? /s

Absolutely not. I abhor the use of the sophomoric "/s" and never use it myself.

I apologize for misunderstanding you.

Hey Greta...when a Democrat lies it's for a good cause. Not like those mean Tea Party KKK folks.

Hannity is getting even more repetitive in his parrot-like "x-million unemployed", "x-million on food stamps", "x-million this" and "x-million that" schtick.

Ditto

I'm interested in other "Fox News" evening-lineup comments....and I promise no one's opinions will be interrupted, lol.

Although I agree with most of your assessment, and am delighted they finally moved Shep from the evening lineup, I still record Chris Wallace, Greta and Megyn. However, I find myself only watching Chris Wallace anymore.

I also enjoyed watching this blathering idiot get owned by Greta.

He probably should be running in Minnesota.

I personally don’t get written sarc and very much appreciate the identification as sarc and do not consider it “sophomoric”, but adult to identify sarc comments as sarc

Good post. I myself no longer have TV broadcasts in my home and haven’t had any for about 5 years.

I used to watch Fox from its inception in 1996 and also enjoyed Tony Snow on Fox News Sunday.

But here’s the thing; Fox News grabs the attention of a certain age demographic, the newbies to politics and the uninformed and unaware. If it weren’t for Fox News the electorate would be programmed and brainwashed by the likes of CNN and MSNBC. I would hate to think of the world without Fox News even though I don’t watch them anymore.

So we should be grateful there is a Fox News. They are the most successful news and tabloid broadcast that exists today. I hope they put MSNBC and CNN out of business or at least force them to hire quality conservative hosts.

But as you say Fox News can make some improvements and if any of their staff are reading this thread I would bet they are taking notes. That’s the difference.

“You got me there,” Dickinson admitted, looking embarrassed.

He was embarrassed being caught in a lie? That makes him better than 99% of the Democrats...

Bodacious lying ability is a sure-fire resume builder within the Democrat Party.

--Greta is the BEST news interviewer on the air today.--

Short and straightforward questions. If not answered, ask again. Avoid long and multifaceted questions that allow a path to wiggle and go off on tangents.

Funniest part to me was that he said he hated all politicians because they lie.

Then Greta exposed him as the ultimate lying hypocrite before the whole world......

Greta is one of my favs......no bias, nothing but the facts and truth.....in your face......

I’m all for sacrificing a seat or two to a rat to get Boehner or cantor out

That’s how I feel about McDonnel. We need to clean these guys out of the R party, even if it means electing democrats.

For me, it’s the brass ring or nothing. And if all we get is a bunch of Rinos, don’t kid yourself, it will be nothing.

I love the fact that the Democrat’s Congressional candidate has to lie to claim he was the CEO of a strip club. What’s next?—Will they start touting fake murder-for-hire and extortion convictions?

The problem being is that if we win the best we can hope for is Eric Cantor.

JMO but I think Cantor blows with the wind. If the leadership is tougher and more conservative, I believe Cantor will follow suit.

“Van Susteren began, knowing exactly where she was going.”

I guess that’s an attribute of a good attorney. I know that a lot of the news chicks on Fox have legal backgrounds, but Greta is the best no-nonsense interviewer they have.
