More young women choosing dogs over motherhood

America’s next generation of youngsters should be called “Generation Rex.” If you’re wondering why playgrounds around the city are so quiet and dog runs are packed, a new report has an answer: More and more US women are forgoing motherhood and getting their maternal kicks by owning handbag-size canines.

Data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention show that a big drop in the number of babies born to women ages 15 to 29 corresponds with a huge increase in the number of tiny pooches owned by young US women, reports the business-news site Quartz.

Dog-crazy New York ladies told The Post that they aren’t surprised by the findings — and that they happily gave up diaper changes, temper tantrums and college funds for the easy affection of their doggy “child.”

“I’d rather have a dog over a kid,” declared Sara Foster, 30, a Chelsea equities trader who says her French bulldog, Maddie, brings her more joy than a child.

“It’s just less work and, honestly, I have more time to go out. You ;. don’t have to get a baby sitter.” The federal data behind the report show that over the past seven years, the number of live births per 1,000 women between ages 15 and 29 in America has plunged 9 percent.

Puppy - 1 week to train to go outside

Baby - 3 Years pooping on themselves

God or Evolution (whichever you prefer) really screwed that one up

Well, dogs have a big advantage over children. By the time they enter their teens, they generally become docile, loving, peaceful and then die. Harsh perhaps, but undeniable.

Many of these women are probably far too self-centered to be mothers anyway, so it’s probably for the best.

Not to mention this country is getting downright hostile to the idea of raising children in a stable environment.

If all you had to choose from were limp wristed pajama boy types you’d probably choose dogs too...

I’ve been seeing this first hand.

I know of 3 younger couples and one young single person that all have dogs, and I noticed how they seem to have a role in these people’s lives that children would normally play. Two of the couples even go so far as to refer to their pets as “the kids”, or something to that effect. Just about everyone I know that’s my age - ‘Millennial/Gen X’ers’ seem to be terrified of having children for some reason.

We are witnessing the relative end of the Anglo-Saxon people first hand.

“I have more time to go out.. you don’t have to get a sitter”.

Probably an unpopular opinion but if these women feel this way.. they aren’t ready to be a parent. If they only view a child as a “thing” that takes things AWAY from them... I’d prefer they stay with dogs or cats. That being said... don’t come crying to me when you decide YOU are finally read in your 40’s and you have fertility issues. In life, not everything is decided upon YOUR time table. IMHO.

"I'd rather have a dog over a kid", declared Sara Foster

I'd guess that Sara probably has more resemblance to the dog than to your cute little tyke, so maybe it's a good choice.

I hope these ladies enjoy their free birth control now because in the future all these Mexicans aren’t going to be too keen on paying for the Social Security of old white spinster women that sit around throwing birthday parties for their pets.

Men, well we are OK, God created Asian women for us

"dogs have a big advantage over children."

One big difference is that pets won't be around to cook your dinner, wipe your ass for you, and help upkeep your house(if your still have one) when you're 85 years old and unable to do so yourself.

I bet the parents aren’t going to pony up the cash it takes to raise those grandchildren, are they? And no amount of money will keep layer upon layer of government inviting itself into their lives just because they chose to have children. And people dare to call others “selfish” for not signing up for all of that.
