Skip to comments.I Hate to Say I Told You So (But I predicted this gay revolution)

For years Ive been sounding the alarm about an impending social, cultural, and spiritual crisis, and for years critics have compared me to Chicken Little, discounting my warnings as the ravings of a hysterical, religious fundamentalist. Well, its a little late for that now.
Ten years ago, I charted this progression and made this prediction:
· First, gay activists came out of the closet
· Second, they demanded their rights
· Third, they demanded that everyone recognize those rights
· Fourth, they want to strip away the rights of those who oppose them
· Fifth, they want to put those who oppose their rights into the closet
Initially, I was met with scorn and derision: No one wants to put you in the closet!
The last few years, the tone has changed to: Bigots like you belong in the closet!
I hate to say it, but I told you so.
After the forced resignation of Mozilla CEO Brendan Eich, the influential gay blogger Andrew Sullivan wrote, The whole episode disgusts me as it should disgust anyone interested in a tolerant and diverse society. If this is the gay rights movement today hounding our opponents with a fanaticism more like the religious right than anyone else then count me out.
Not long after, the ultra-liberal Bill Maher said on Real Time, I think there is a gay mafia. I think if you cross them, you do get whacked.
This echoes comments made years earlier by lesbian journalist and author Camille Paglia in her book Vamps and Tramps: One reason I so dislike recent gay activism, she wrote, is that my self-identification as a lesbian preceded Stonewall: I was the only openly gay person at the Yale Graduate School (1968-72), a candor that was professionally costly. That anyone with my aggressive and scandalous history could be called homophobic, as has repeatedly been done, shows just how insanely Stalinist gay activism has become.
Stalinist? Was she overstating her case?
In my 2011 book A Queer Thing Happened to America, I noted that, It would appear, then, that civil rights for some means limited rights for others, and that by specific design. As stated explicitly in a teachers lesson aid published by the Gay and Lesbian Educators [GALE] of British Columbia: We must dishonour the prevailing belief that heterosexuality is the only acceptable orientation even though that would mean dishonouring the religious beliefs of Christians, Jews, Muslims, etc.
In that same book, I explained what was already here and what was on the immediate horizon, including this:
· From here on, embracing diversity refers to embracing all kinds of sexual orientation, (homo)sexual expression, and gender identification but rejects every kind of religious or moral conviction that does not embrace these orientations, expressions, and identifications.
· From here on, hate refers to any attitude, thought, or word that differs with the gay agenda, while gays are virtually exempt from the charge of hate speech no matter how vile and incendiary the rhetoric since they are always the (perceived) victims and never the victimizers.
What exactly would this look like? Again, here is what I wrote in 2011:
· Children in elementary schools will be exposed to the rightness and complete normality of homosexuality, bisexuality, and transgender expression . . . and opposing views will be branded as dangerous and homophobic, to be silenced and excluded from the classroom.
· Middle schools, high schools, and colleges will go out of their way to encourage both the celebration of homosexuality and deep solidarity with gay activism . . . .
· The federal and state governments will legalize same-sex marriages . . . meaning that all heterosexuals must accept the legality of these marriages and that anyone refusing to do so could be prosecuted for discriminatory behavior.
·Corporate America will embrace every aspect of non-heterosexuality (including bisexuality, transgender, and beyond) calling for the dismissal of those who refuse to follow suit and religious groups will no longer be allowed to view homosexual practice as immoral, branding such opposition as hate speech.
Yes, all this was written before the Mozilla debacle (which was justified, absurdly, in the name of being inclusive, safe, and welcoming to all), before the Walt Disney Corporation gave the Boy Scouts of America an ultimatum that they had to accept openly homosexual scout leaders or lose Disneys financial support, before the Girl Scouts announced that boys who identify and present themselves as girls can join their scouting clubs, before Pastor Louie Giglio was disinvited from praying at President Obamas second inauguration because he preached a biblical message on homosexuality more than 15 years ago, before the Supreme Court overturned DOMA and the military overturned Dont Ask Dont Tell, before the passing of ridiculous bills like Californias SB 777 (mandating the celebration of LGBT American history for all classes, K-12) and AB 1266 (allowing students to choose the bathroom of their personal gender identification as well as play on the sports team of their choice, using that locker room as well, resulting already in a 17 year-old boy playing on the girls softball team), before Facebook created the customized gender option with 50 gender choices, before different states banned professional counseling requested by minors with unwanted same-sex attractions, before companies like Sweet Cakes by Melissa were put out of business because they would not participate in same-sex weddings, and before Attorney General Eric Holder told state attorneys general that they were not required to uphold and defend laws against same-sex marriage if they didnt want to just to mention a few.
I hate to say it, but I told you so.
Do you believe me now? And would you like to know what is coming next and what we can do about it? And would you like to know why I am convinced that, ultimately, the gay revolution will fail?
Stay tuned for more. Im glad I have your ear.
I predicted it back in 1989 to a fellow grad student. I told him that the next big push by liberals was going to be homosexuality.
Unfortunately, I also told him I thought they had finally overplayed their hand and it would fail. I was simply wrong. I never would have thought this country would accept it, but now we are beyond accepting it and on the way to making them special people just like Blacks and other minorities, religions etc.
Well Mike, a few of us know the feeling. The problem is that the naysayers are just allowed to scurry off and pretend they didn’t contribute to the problem at hand, when clearly their actions/inactions did.
No admissions of being wholly wrong, no apologies and no intent to do anything different in the future. Which is exactly why no one listens. No one is ever held accountable or takes responsibility.
Much of this can be laid at the feet of orthodox libertarian types posing as “conservatives” who APPROVE of “gay rights.”
—I am hoping that when they boldly come out advocating pedophilia (which is one of the aims and already taking place in Europe) that it will cause a backlash against everything about the “gay” movement-—
But... but... but, homosexuality has always been considered normal. It’s just old white guys who are trying to take away the rights of homosexuals, bisexuals, transsexuals, pedophiles, zoophiles, etc. /s
Queer terrorists have been at work since the mid 70’s. I personally suffered the ignominy of being targetted by a particularly virulent strain of buggerers in my ministry in Baltimore. There were serious efforts made to destroy my ministry including media and legal threats. They finally permeated the higher echelons of the church resulting in severe character assassination. These tactics were more under cover then than they are today. Sadly the forces for good could not withstand the barrage of intimidation and I was forced to resign under pressure. In truth I was sore and beaten by years of false and malicious charges.
I predict it won’t. I was admonished by fellow FReepers just a few days ago for saying that islam is a sick culture for many reasons, including their depraved attitudes toward women and children. I was told that in biblical times, God blessed such abuses, and Christians are just different now because of the passage of time, but our culture is no better for having changed.
I predict that amoral people like that will continue to gain influence. Fasten your seatbelts, it’s going to be a bumpy ride.
Close. The next target was religion itself, using the gay acti vism as the tool. Its working.
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
I’m just as afraid of the backlash as I am of the gay activists continuing to go too far - and the far left should be afraid of that also. Characterizing a Christian perspective as “hate” blurs the distinction between hate toward a person and disapproval of that person’s behavior, and it could easily lead to those labeled as hateful moving toward a genuinely hateful and potentially violent position.
Actually first was the apathetic, tolerant and indiffernt attitude; "I don't care what two consenting adults do in the privacy of their own home".
Much of this can be laid at the feet of orthodox libertarian types posing as “conservatives” who APPROVE of “gay rights.”
And the next big push by the liberals will be legalizing and normalizing pedophilia.
Do you think the train stops at homosexuality? Nope. Until every barrier is gone and anything/everything becomes normal, the train keeps moving.
The train doesn’t stop until we get to human sacrifice and cannibalism. And then the God of Israel takes action.
I seriously doubt the liberals will want polygamy legalized. They view one man and more than one woman in a voluntary union as inherently oppressive and patriarchial and as some sort of evil.
Unless, of course, the man and women are black and everyone’s on welfare, then that’s not just okay, it’s worthy of a show on MTV.
Well, when Sharia Law is implemented in this country, there will no longer be a queer problem.
and their candidate will be named Paul
are you sure sheeple will not fall in line?
I recall many times being told on FR that the marriage referendums would never possibly be in danger of getting 50% +1 for ‘gay marriage.’ The opinion polls always seem to be skewed towards ‘gay marriage’ and pundits on either side rarely delve into the trends of all the popular votes on the issue by date and location. So it looked like actual marriage was going strong everywhere, anything less was just liberal propaganda (the skewed polls actually might be) but that was not the case. Anyone can see it by the trends of the actual votes on the issue, not what one stranger tells another what they think of ‘gay marriage’ over the phone.
While support is gaining for "gay marriage", I still think most states would vote it down (by passing marriage = 1 man, 1 woman laws/amendments). However, it doesn't matter now because the courts won't let us do that. the amendment here in Texas passed by 70%, but a judge has now thrown it out.
Four decades ago, Phyllis Schlafly predicted same-sex marriage and was laughed at.
The next sewage to come at is already has a foundation in law. Most states now have protections based on "sexual orientation". One of these days, a judge will declare pedophilia to be a prot4ected sexual orientation.
This guy is a little full of himself. A lot of people knew this would happen.
RE: Do you think the train stops at homosexuality? Nope. Until every barrier is gone and anything/everything becomes normal, the train keeps moving.
So what’s next? Pedophilia? I think so.
Hey, if you want to protect ORIENTATION, how can you argue that Pedophilia is not an orientation?
The author states that the SC overturned DOMA. I always understood it to be that barry and company simply decided it was henceforth void.
What did I miss?
NC passed it’s amendment by 61% in 2012 and was hailed as a great victory by many. But it only equaled the CA of 2000 when CA passed prop. 22 by 61%. So the NC of 2012 was where CA of 2000 was on the issue amongst the voting public. 8 years later CA passed prop.8 by 52%, losing 9% in 8 years. Hawaii passed it’s amendment by 69% in 1998, beating the NC of 2012 by 8%, something that would have been considered crazy if someone would have predicted that in ‘98.
Texas actually passed it’s amendment by 76% in 2005. No doubt it would still pass today if our black robed masters didn’t cut out the middlemen, but no way does it pass by 76% in 2014.
The next frontier of perversion is “transgenderism” — the right (if you are a man) to have your genitals cut off, paid by “health insurance”, and then to be regarded as a woman. Liberals say they are pro-woman. Aren’t they insulted by the idea that a woman is nothing more than a mutilated man?
It’s not just the homo fascists...it’s the whole liberal ideology. As one conservative pundit said recently, for libs it’s all about sex...weird sex that is, the weirder the better. The ultimate goal of libs is no laws or limits on any kind of sex, man or beast, anytime, anywhere. Libs have no concept of self-control or limits on their desires. They cannot be reasoned with, they must be defeated.
This is a country where a scoundrel like Al Sharpton has his own tv show on a mainstream cable network. I never thought that could happen. Nothing is too low for libs to tolerate.
At the time, I was a teen and against homos being persecuted (physically harmed) or put in prison simply for being homos. I underestimated the strength of the lib/homosexual lobby. Soon we will be at the point where, like Bob Hope joked, homosexuality will be compulsory. Then the shooting will start.
There’s a movie, can’t think of the name of it, where a guy who is frozen comes unfrozen and he missed a lot of time. He has no problem with anything technological, picks it right up instantly, but he’s aghast at how the culture has changed. He is shocked, e.g., at girls using foul language, and of course there are other things too. Can’t remember. And this was decades ago.
As bad as the Romans became,I never heard of them promoting pedophilia. Thats a sobering thought—that America has surpassed or will surpass Rome in depravity. Or am I wrong about Rome not sinking that low?
This is not your grandfather’s “gay.”
The devil has used the same form, but made it nastier and nastier.
