Freaky Photoshop disaster: Jay Carney puff piece goes hilariously wrong [pics]

Well, I don’t, but I guess he needs one to practice
his answers on, or maybe to berate his kids when they
don’t eat enough pancakes.

Carney was a reporter in Moscow for a while, probably where he got all the Russian stuff.

However, look more closely at the breakfast picture:

Huge piles of pancakes (two separate plates!), massive plate of sausage and bacon, bagels, an entire loaf of bread, at least a pound of butter, donut holes, the pile of melons off to the right, and the huge fruit plate and the bowl of berries over on the left, two espresso makers, the egg is fake (who flips over-easy eggs like that)? Either they’re gluttons, or they waste a lot of food.

Also, the wall between the wife and the son was photoshopped too: the wall is at the back of the room, yet somehow extends to the kitchen floor only between those two people; the bottom edge stops behind the wife’s left leg, not even continuing across the gap between her feet.

And keep in mind too the implication behind the book picture: They no doubt pulled every book in the house including the cookbooks to try to fill those shelves, and STILL had to photoshop it to make the shelves look full. I’d bet the shelves behind the lectern are empty, so they have 12 fairly narrow shelves to fill, and he didn’t even have enough books for that.

Oh, and missing from this is the photo at the end of the article, of Carney’s wife relaxing in a living-room chair, with the family dog sitting next to her. She is in a totally casual position, yet the dog is utterly improbably shown with a small plastic “bone” balanced on end on its nose.

Pro’ly none. I think the whole thing was Photoshopped. I’m not sure any of the three people were actually in the picture at the same time. Kinda like one of the later Pink Floyd albums.

I hate to say this, but I had to go back to the picture. You got me. I see what you did there. ;-)

I made very minor adjustments compared to the original. Look at the light source [sun, behind them] and where shadows fall. The whole thing is an amateur fake. I think it’s suppose to be “kitschy” but I’ll be the first to admit I don’t “get” liberal.

None, I’m guessing....I stack melons, pineapples, oranges and the like just like that...on my counter. They would never just roll off the counter like and bust on the floor.

I also leave blueberries just lying around on the counter top near the poached eggs in their holders. /s

Oh yes.
The set of three white books in descending length on the left side of row two from the bottom, and then cleverly flipped horizontally for one image on the right.
Do you suppose maybe they gave the unemployed, discredited acadumbic/artist Ward Churchill a mercy gig commission to construct this pathetic laugher?
