What would a country look like with a small government and was guided by God and the maximum freedom of its citizens? That is the country I developed in The Republic of Texas 2022, my new novel being published and now in early release. Our hero is Steven Moses who is the most powerful man in the world, but understands that the free market is where true freedom lies.

The United States has collapsed and is still in a depression state as the entire structure has disappeared and is replaced with a servant state of the United Nations. Meanwhile Texas has become the most powerful and vibrant country in the world as it is the world supplier of energy and energy related products. This draws the attention of the United Nations and its need for tax dollars which wants to force Texas to become a member country with all of the taxes and regulations necessary to join. A number of situations leads these two sides to war and then the roller coaster ride becomes intense. Who will win becomes the question you ask throughout the book.

This novel is written with suspense and imagination as you are taken places you could never imagine without the aid of an unfettered society whose primary goal is advancing itself without the shackles of socialist government or regulations. This is a deeply political book that also explains where this track of an overextended gummit is leading us and the ultimate destination of collapse and a society without rules where the local gangs have taken over the day to day society. There are no reliable city services and it becomes a feudal society with no moral compass and chaos. Conservatives, Christians and limited government types are going to love this book and Marxists will want it censored. It will be on their verboten list although they should read it for education.

The purpose of this novel is education. This is an economics lesson wrapped in a science fiction fantasy with a love story mixed in to keep the chicks reading. Steven Moses throughout the book explains how capitalism works and why it is a superior form of economics to Marxism and socialism. In debate after debate he explains in great detail how it works and has worked throughout the ages as one person decides though negotiation what any item is worth. In the end any commodity can be broken down to what one person will pay for it at any given time and that price is decided by two people every second 24/7/365. He then explains how the Texas infrastructure and government was designed to facilitate that form of economics giving every citizen of Texas the maximum opportunity to showcase his talents and efforts.

After reading this fun excursion in your imagination you will understand how basic economics works and will have an appreciation of why it is far more efficient than the economic system we are using today. It shows how unleashing mans creativity in all areas allows him to solve and improve problems such as transportation, poverty, pollution and energy. You will fly along with him in hover jets as the basic mode of transportation and on a shuttle to fly around the world at over 10,000 MPH to help transact business. You will also have some scenes dramatically tattooed on the front of your brain you will never forget. This is a fun story with lots of mental pictures that will expand your imagination placing you in scenes and places you can only dream about.

Lastly this novel is about what would happen if you gave everything over to God and did not fear man. What if all that mattered was your relationship with Jesus Christ and you were willing to give everything to him knowing he has already given you more than you deserve? What if you no longer feared losing everything including your life? This is how Steven and the Texas Ranger live their lives and are able to persevere.

People will pay twenty dollars to go on a roller coaster ride in Six Flags or Disneyland and I am offering a twenty hour roller coaster ride for the same price. Yes, you may have to give up a couple Star Bucks, but you will not be the same person after you take this ride you were when you got on it. I guarantee you will never forget some of the highs and lows you will find yourself in as you are spun around from one turn after another.

When you arrive at your destination which is not where you began you will understand more about economics than 95% of the people in America and you will be able to visualize what America could be if it incorporated these basic principles of a free market and a smaller less draconian gummit. You will be able to visit The Republic of Texas in your mind anytime you want as this book will become a classic on your shelf or your Kindle to read and escape your chains as you hop on that mental hover jet again and again. This novel will be the best $21.49 you ever invested. Get your signed copy now.

$13.99 for a non-bestseller ebook ?? Somebody has flunked Capitalism 101: the going price for a self-published ebook is between 2 and 6 dollars. . . .

Go to Tate Publishing and purchase the Kindle or wait until the national release and get it and Barnes and Noble.

Buy the book and perhaps you can learn basic economics? Oh yeah, your far too cynical/cheap for that.

God Bless

PS-Who said anything about an e-book? Go to Tate Publishing and the e-book is $13.99.

There are no pictures in this book to color so you may not like it, but boy you can use it. This book is Econ 511.

Some people on the net just love kicking other people’s dreams.

Bray, what's your take on Tate Publishing? Quality? Editing process?

I have a book published through them also....The Sword and the Star: Temple Mount.

Very professional and if I understood the editing process it would have gone much smoother. Being I never have been published I wish I would have been more advanced at editing. I made it harder on them then it should have been and would have went quicker.

Overall, very impressed and they produced a beautiful product.

When is yours going to be released?

Thanks Lurker, let me know what you think after you read it. The initial reads have been amazing. Had one guy call and say I had to be his first call in the morning to let me know what he thought. He was completely blown away.

Yeah, it probably needed some serious editing.

In that case, your theoretical Republic of Texas would have at least one natural ally in the world...

Matt Drudge is calling Vladimir Putint the leader of the free world.

Pat Buchanan believes (as I do) that God is on Vladimir Putin's side:

The United States is still demographically a Christian nation but you'd never know it from observing our government. All you ever read about our government doing these days is supporting regimes which persecute Christians and Christianity, and then you ask whose side you think God might be on....

For that matter the BRIC alignment may be, for the time being, a bit less free than you'd want, but they are also free from any possibility of greens and Malthusians shutting down their economies. You might want to explore the possibility of a BRICT (final T for Texas) alingment...

Actually, I’m involved in e-publishing. The “sweet spot” to maximize sales revenue is between 2 dollars and 7 dollars a copy.

I’m QUITE aware of the issues and economics of the business.

You have a niche genre book, self-published in dead tree, that you’re trying to sell in the least-friendly format for an ebook (PDF). You could have easily ported it to .mobi for Kindle users, and .epub with free extensions to any major word processor. You could publish directly to Amazon and Barnes & Noble, and cut your publisher out of an unearned share of profits.

But you didn’t. You have, instead, virtually put up a sign on your porch, and done the marketing equivalent of peddling copies on one or two street corners.

If you actually want to SELL ebooks, perhaps you might want to check out the business advice of pros who write on the subject of publishing and e-publishing. Kristine Kathryn Rusch comes to mind, her blog is at:

http://kriswrites.com/

Or you might want to talk to Matt Bracken, aka Travis McGee here on FR.

I’m pointing off some fairly obvious mistakes that almost all new writers make.

Well, my porch at braylog happens to have 10,000 visits per month and I am willing to see if God wants to put it places it is supposed to go. It just came out this week and I am willing to see where it goes. As for the niche, it has about 20 million in the niche and the timing couldn’t be better.

I didn’t have time for publishing and have very limited time for marketing. I think it will do well in Texas and has already gotten to some very well known people there and will see what they say.

I have a feeling you are wrong about everything since I have been in commodities for 25 years and that is exactly what this book is. It is just the only commodity out there like this novel with this amount of knowledge. There is none like it and the initial reception is what I expected, you have to pay to play.

What books have you written?

So you have a moderately successful blog. Congratulations.

I have colleagues who get 10,000+ visits per DAY.

And I don’t write, I’m a full-time engineer and a part-time editor. Several of the books I’ve edited have gotten into the top ten on their genre on Amazon, and two have gotten into the top ten ebooks of the day. And one of the authors I edit has earned six figures in book profits in 2014 alone.

So, go right ahead, stay a big frog in a small pond. . .
