Iowa senate candidate vows to shoot off sister's killer's testicles in campaign ad

A long-shot candidate for the Iowa senate has released a commercial in which he promotes term limits for senators and also threatens to shoot the balls off a "sexual predator" who killed his sister.

Bob Quast, unsurprisingly, is a supporter of gun rights.

"If you are the sexual predator and sociopath who murdered my sister Lynette and you come to my front door to do harm to my girls, I'm going to use my Glock - to blow your balls off," he says, smiling.

Quast's sister, Lynnette Craft, was killed in June 1999, by her husband, the ABC affiliate reported. Her body parts were found scattered in Michigan.

The father of three said he believes in conservative values and wants to "make positive changes in your community and our country as the next U.S. Senator from our great State of Iowa."

Hmm, I suspect a Democrat hoax. He is over the top and probably making fun of pro-gun Republicans. Any Iowans know anything about this guy?

So the add says to write him in on the June 3 Democrat Primary. I strongly doubt most of this add. If he isn’t smart enough to change parties...

Thank you for referencing that article rickmichaels. Please bear in mind that the following critique is directed at the article and not at you.

... in which he promotes term limits for senators ...

While I would support term limits for senators, citizens would probably lose interest in the nation's capital if Congress and the Oval Office were forced to comply with Congress's constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers. This is because one of the things that Congress actually has the constitutional authority to deal with that affects citizens almost daily is the U.S. Postal Service.

Otherwise, mostly everything else that Congress does, particulary with respect to social spending programs like Social Security, Congress actually has no constitutional authority to legislatively address.

In other words, bank robbers have caught on to the idea that it's easier to make a living by getting themselves elected as federal lawmakers. And once elected they rob citizen's money by laying constitutionally indefensible taxes on the people.
