Few in Ukraine – Including in the East — Support Separatism or Joining Russia, Poll Shows

Paul Goble April 12, 2014 Print Friendly Staunton, April 12 – Vladimir Putin insists that his moves in Ukraine are motivated by a desire to protect ethnic Russians, Russian speakers and, Moscow’s latest category, “pro-Russian people” who do not want to live under Kyiv, a view that has been uncritically accepted by large numbers of Russians in the Russian Federation and by many in the West.

But a new poll shows that few of the people on whose behalf Putin claims to be acting are interested in separatism from Ukraine or in having their regions become part of the Russian Federation. Instead, even in the eastern portions of Ukraine where Russian speakers form a large share of the population, overwhelming majorities want to remain in Ukraine.

In other polling news, a recent poll shows that 112 percent of Americans love Obamacare!

“EU politicians are corrupt globalists.”

Unlike honest politicians in your beloved new Mongoloid empire aka Eurasian Economic Community.

“American companies from John Deere to Proctor & Gamble to IBM - HUNDREDS of them - have been doing business in Ukraine for years.”

Shock and horror.

The authors of this poll is the Democratic Initiatives Foundation, a NATO affiliated think tank.

Same group that did polls in 2009 and 2012 showing that Ukrainians didn't want to be part of NATO.

Yes, the same group that certified Ukraine’s 2010 Presidential democratic election was free and fair.

Ring any bells?

Yes, the same group that certified Ukraine’s 2010 Presidential democratic election was free and fair.

So in 2010 they certified that Yanukovich's election was fair. In 2012 they polled that Ukrainians in didn't want to be part of NATO.

Now they poll that Ukrainians overwhelmingly don't want to be part of Russia.

So then your problem is what??

Unlikely the average man on the street is going to have silenced Kalashnikovs or limited military sniper rifles complete with military uniforms, body armor and other gear, along with military precision in making coordinated strikes on important Ukrainian buildings in multiple cities along an important invasion route.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Wall Street bailed out the failing Russian revolution in its early days. Under the guise of a “Red Cross” mission, millions in hard currency were brought in to sustain the effort. Wall Street pooled its interests in the American International Corporation, headquartered at 120 Broadway, and thus moved to have the Tsar-less Russia as a completely captive market. The infamous 5-year plans were conceived by international finance, not communist bureaucrats. Ford even built a plant at Gorky in the early 1930’s.

Communism was invented by UK globalists who first conceived of trying to set up completely controlled towns that doubled as manufacturing plants where people would live and work like hamsters.

The UK-based globalists, and their counterparts on the Continent and in the US, hated monarchs, especially the Tsar, as they could not get them to give them enough control over banking, money and business operations. The UK bent on over completely backwards, and let them run the show. Through the UK government, for example, they ran India as an enormous business which they carried on with the sovereignty of a government. When their business eventually started incurring losses, they had the political clout to transfer the risk to the UK taxpayer.

My point is that globalists have always been pulling strings behind BOTH the Western governments AND the USSR/Russian governments since 1917.

Does this make Russian politicians honest ? Obviously not.

What I’m advocating is an INDEPENDENT Ukraine.

Globalism keeps stirring up the issue to get people to back Ukraine joining the EU.

They set up a straw man argument that the only alternative is to join Russia.

They hate the idea of an independent Ukraine.

The globalists do not want independent countries. They want them to belong to international organizations. This makes it easy for globalists to override national governments and get anything they want in the way of laws and tax avoidance.

Some yahoo wrote an article posted today on FR that posed the question of Canada and the US merging.

Why can’t people supposedly advocating for a “free republic” get the hint when they are touching on the idea of losing national sovereignty ?

Lenin’s New Economic Policy was designed to invite gullible western investment, which he described as buying (or selling?) the rope from the west that Russia would use to “hang them.” This was accomplished through disinformation efforts to convince the west that Communism in Russia was collapsing, and they used false-fronts, such as the Monarchist movement, to do so, having alleged anti-Communists make contacts with the west, discourage western aggression, and to encourage the west to build up Russia’s infrastructure on the vain hope that doing so would make the collapse of communism go faster.

All of this, of course, was a sham.

Our government will support “freedom” for Ukraine, but send out government thugs to tamp down freedom in America.

It should tell you this. Our government does not support “real” freedom” anywhere.

Freedom is only what the US government under Obama and the NWO is willing to give you.

G Bush I said a long time ago that the government has an interest in dividing people because if the divided ever knew what they were up to they would unite against the world elites. Time to stand these bastards down.

A lot of the NWO fantasies, by the way, are developed by Russian media and parroted by Alex Jones. This is the same Russian government that is still supporting communist movements in Africa and South America, and who has paid agents of influence working in communist papers demonizing the United States, such as in the ‘Ghost Stories’ spy ring busted up a few years ago. The one with the pretty red head. One of the agents exposed was working for a Marxist Spanish paper here in the U.S. That same “journalist” now works for the Russian state controlled media, and Alex Jones repeats her propaganda.

That is really what should be informing your perception of world events.

The NWO conspiracy theories are wishful thinking. The fact is, the U.S. and the west in general are in a state of decline. It is because liberal democracy, as what we have become, was never fit for holding on to power, even when they play the power game. Everything is careerism, money-power, and control, by children who cannot control anything and will soon be overthrown by the new Hitlers of our 21st century.

Takes a special kind of, ummm, person, to describe fringe groups and Russian Spetznaz troops as “Pro-Ukrainian,” when they’re there to put Ukraine back under the Russian yoke.

What I saw today was not Russian Media. What I saw was no Western media.

I don’t pay much attention to Alex Jones. I watch what is happening here.

The communist movement is in action in America. I couldn’t care less about Ukraine.

Nice rant Pieter.

The folks in Eastern Ukraine have watched the US/EU backed radicals overthrow a democratically elected President and they're fed up with all the Western interference in their lives.

They're going to decide for themselves how they want to be governed, and if the radicals in Kiev don't like it, they'll be dealt with accordingly.

“Communism was invented by UK globalists”

Sorry to burst your bubble but had Lenin ended up in Denmark and convinced them to go commie, their way to spread communism would have been issuing rainbow postcards with “join the revolution” printed on it. Russians turned it into the most genocidal system in the history of mankind because they are barbarian, collectivistic, expansionistic bunch of Mongoloids. In the end, they invade and kill their neighbors as well as their own people, no matter which system they use.

“My point is that globalists have always been pulling strings behind BOTH the Western governments AND the USSR/Russian governments since 1917.”

Yep. Damn Rothschilds...

“What I’m advocating is an INDEPENDENT Ukraine.”

Sure you do.

"Decide for themselves". Ya, right. Soviet agents are in there now acting as provocateurs. Hopefully Kiev goes in soon and kicks their asses out of the Ukrainian building they are squatting in.
