Not sure about socialist, but one thing is for sure, he was a big gubbamint globalist. NOT a conservative by any stretch.

W stuck us with the misnamed Patriot Act, the TSA, the Department of Reichland Security, Medicare part D, massive debt, not one but two Vietnam type wars we lost, ruined the military equipment built up by Reagan, tried to shove Amnesty down our throats, signed a ban on light bulbs, perpetuated the ethanol scam, completely ruined the Republican brand and thereby gave us Obama.

Bush did major damage to the conservative movement.

Absolutely true!

"The Surge" may be viewed as a battle one by some.

Going there in the first place was a big mistake. We paid fortunes in treasure and blood, and the area is far less stable than when Saddam was in charge.

Every chickenhawk politician, especially Presidents from Texas, should be shown pictures of Dresden, Hamburg and Tokyo after the AAF bombed them. Then tell the chickenhawk that the only way to win is to do this to cities full of people.

Fight like WWII, win like WWII.

Fight like LBJ or GWB and lose lives, treasure, credibility and our nation.

I assume you mean a response to the "purist" meme. Fear of our own convictions is what has brought conservatives to our current position of supporting a party that is totally irrelevant, feckless, and unprincipled.

I voted for Romney because I knew that Obama was a stone cold Marxist, and Marxists are bad for everyone and everything. Did Romney tell me Obama was a Marxist? No, that would be mean and purist. Romney, as well as all the other moderates and liberal relativists in the GOP offer nothing to counter the Matrix world of lazy selfishness and victimhood. All of them are seen as playing a hopeless game of catch-up to the liberal culture, when instead they should be offering the red pill, and calling for the destruction of the Matrix because it is evil.

Sorry for belaboring the Matrix analogy.

Besides, I did what you did before, voted for Romney, and still got the sum of all our fears, Obama.

That was the end of his chances of being nominated - he sank immediately. The party didn’t do well, but there really isn’t much they can do there, now that the Illegals from 1986 can vote, thanks to Amnesty back then.

The 'party didn't do well' because it was shafting its conservative nominee who lost by only 360,000 votes. In a campaign run by the same people who got him the nomination, Simon could have won.

Jeb Bush simply doesn't like conservatives, Tea Party Americans, anti-amnesty, pro-freedom people. Unfortuntely for Jebbers, the vast majority of his potential voters fit into one or more of these groups.

Jeb Bush does like Hillary Clinton and has spent more time with her than he has the Tea Party.

Why would any sane person vote for this guy?

As one pundit put it: “The worst thing that can happen to a political party is not for voters to decide they don’t like the candidate.....it’s voters sensing the candidate does not like them."

Jeb's assinine "act of love" comment is as damaging to him as Perry's "you don't have a heart" comment.

Jeb and Perry sneered at voters----suggesting they were superior....that the rest of us just fell off a turnip truck.

Such stupidity in a candidate---not realizing the collateral effect of their words---can never be forgiven.

Jeb says they crossed the border illegally....they broke the law, but it’s not a felony. "It’s kind of — it’s a — it’s an act of love," Jeb says.

A list of known "Acts of Love:"

<><> acting as agents of foreign governments,

<><> membership in radical America-hating organizations planning armed conflict to takeover the American SW,

<><> using stolen How many Social Security numbers,

<><> cashing multiple US govt checks,

<><> engaging in voter fraud to solidify Third World power on Us soil,

<><> voting under several identities,

<><> encouraging illegals to vote using multiple identities,

<><> using multiple identities to get US govt freebies,

<><> pocketing welfare, food stamps, EITC refunds, SSI, free medical care, Section 8 housing, UI, Workmen's comp under several identities?

<><> receiving hefty SS checks by claiming "asylum"

<><> falsifying apps to get fraudulent sub-prime mortgages,

<><> making false claims on IRS forms in order to get multiple EITC refunds?

<><> using illegal driver's license,

<><> wire-transferring money back to Mexico; the Third World,

<><> having offshore accounts under multiple identities,

<><> cashing multiple govt checks under several identities in these categories:

UI, SSI, Workmen's Comp,

TANF (temporary assistance to needy families),

WICS (food assistance),

subsidized Section 8 shelter,

ObamaPhone subsidies,

Utility Assistance subsidies,

School breakfasts/lunches/snacks subsidies,

$5000 a year EITC checks per identity.

========================================

Here's some more "acts of love" by illegals:

<><> A Miami paper reported that cargo flights carried millions of US greenbacks in suitcases, port cargo containers, and money bags, from Mexico to Texas, and then to Miami Intl Airport, on a routine schedule.

From there, authorities say, the money was laundered by two Mexican businessmen through a Miami-Dade check-cashing company that used the dollars to cash the payroll checks of undocumented workers at local supermarkets.

It was all part of a Mexican-Miami bulk-cash network that federal agents say may be funded by drug profits south of the US border.

The culprits--Martin Diaz and Enrique Guerra--arrested earlier this month, appeared before a federal magistrate on charges of conspiring to launder US dollars for the purpose of “harboring illegal aliens’’ in this country. (Excerpt) Read more at miamiherald.com ...

=======================================

<><> THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC'S IRON GRIP ON AMERICA'S POLITICAL/ELECTORAL SYSTEM--its greedy tentacles surface in every facet of US power centers.

LYING-IN-WAIT Neutral Dominican Republic travel brochures recount how the cunning Dominican govt survives on billions of our tax dollars which its illegal residents located here send back home---all of them riding the US gravy train.

The do-nothing Caribbean Third World satrap is teeming with poverty. The do-nothing Dominican govt provides no social safety nets for needy citizenry. The connivers work the US system---quietly and secretly lying-in-wait---to maximize its iron grip on America's power centers.

From a Dominican Republic travel brochur the D/R is a Caribbean nation notorious for corrupt governments and strong- arm dictators. Despite US politicans' fondness for the "amenities" at its posh resorts and celebrities relaxing at posh villas spending big bucks there, the DR has no safety net or state-sponsored job creation for its largely impoverished citizenry.

<><> The one million Dominican citizens currently living illegally in the US send home about a billion US dollars annually---which is considered by the corrupt do-nothing DR govt to be a major source of state revenue. A steady exodus leaves for US shores (lured by the endless US gravy train).

<><> US newspapers report Dominican Republic illegals here get EBT cards then ship the food to the D/R where their relatives sell the food on the street.

================================================

<><> A US post office near the Mexican border was used by illegals to send gravy train money back home. It was so busy, the US govt had to add-on several trailers to handle the business.

===============================================

<><> An illegal who was saved from drowning in a submerged car is suing (1) the first responders who risked their lives to rescue him....and (2) the municipal govt for "letting him" cross an unsafe bridge. He is bring repped by latino lawyer, Eduardo Ferszt.

I’d call them “Big Government Socialist-lite.” Thanks to the last two Socialist-lite candidates offered up by the GOPe (McCain and Romney) we’ve had nearly six years of Neo-Marxist Thugocracy.

The GOPe answer is to run another Socialist-lite.

Jeb Bush is NOT an alternative.

He went too far in the grandiosity of defending illegals... and not far enough in defending American citizens. He's off my list forever unless he wakes up and apologizes to all of us who have made this country our home. Jeb's position is disgraceful - this country is NOT his private estate to 'give away'...

A terribly written headline. It gives the impression that Jeb Bush was actually there and drawing a hostile response from the audience.

Would have been better to read:

'(Mention of Bush) Draws Boos From Conservatives'

Rather than:

"Bush draws boos from conservatives".

Basic grammatical skills on the part of the media these days seem to be in decline with each passing year. One would think they would be improving, given this 'age of the Internet' we're in, with nearly everyone likely reading more than they ever have.

And judging by the past, I wish to know what there has been in the conduct of the British (insert Republican here) ministry for the last ten years, to justify those hopes with which gentlemen have been pleased to solace themselves, and the House? Is it that insidious smile with which our petition has been lately received? Trust it not, sir; it will prove a snare to your feet.

Suffer not yourselves to be betrayed with a kiss. Ask yourselves how this gracious reception of our petition comports with these war-like preparations which cover our waters and darken our land. (Rove/McConnel/Boehner declaring war on the tea party) Are fleets and armies necessary to a work of love and reconciliation?

Have we shown ourselves so unwilling to be reconciled, that force must be called in to win back our love? Let us not deceive ourselves, sir. These are the implements of war and subjugation; the last arguments to which kings (republicans) resort.

I ask, gentlemen, sir, what means this martial array, if its purpose be not to force us to submission? Can gentlemen assign any other possible motive for it?

This is excerpted from Patrick Henry's "Give me Liberty" speech in 1773. it explains the red pill line, and was aimed squarely at folks espousing your position.

As we have seen at the Bundy ranch - we need a conservative who will dismantle the Federal government. The Government has 2 useful purposes - one is to defend out borders - the borders we have, right here. Not trying to build democracies with muslims whose religion makes it impossible to have a system like we do. Again - borders, right here. Simple, yes?

The second is to defend the constitution by PROTECTING our citizen’s natural rights to be FREE!!! That means making sure we are not OPPRESSED by government!!! (i.e. BLM, IRS, Homeland Security, Education Dept, BATFE, NSA, etc.) Most of our budget goes to oppressing our own citizens.

We need to strip the FedGov to the bare bones - these agencies do everything but defend our liberties.

Has the GOPe figured out that another Bush ain’t gonna fly?

“W” won the first election because most voters recognized Gore for what Gore is and the Democrats weren’t able to steal Florida (too many cameras in the recount process).

“W” won reelection because most voters recognized Kerry (and Edwards) for what Kerry (and Edwards) are and they paused to imagine how Gore would have handled 9-11.

Since then the GOP has been running candidates with “W’s” worst traits, ignore Democratic Party election fraud and then blame the Conservatives when they lose.

Bush 2 wasn’t actually a socialist, I would say he was more of a puppet for elitist and establishment types that favored global military and related interests. He generally favored large corporate interests over small business (ethanol, amnesty), but he understood that he could not destroy his base of support, ie the small business producers (tax cuts).

We need to lay the blame where it belongs. The democrats undermined every mission and slandered all of our Soldiers, Sailors, Devil-Dogs and Airmen.

Their proxy groups such as Code Pink spit on our war heros and screeched about “this illegal war and all of the uneccesary death” until Obama took office.

Since then even Cindy Sheehan saw the light. She kept on “keeping on,” looked back and found her “friends” abandoned her. Apparently it’s not cool to protest Democratic Presidents’ war deaths, even if the numbers are exponentionally higher than the Republican Predecessor!

I definitely agree with you. I also have went out and ‘held my nose’ and voted for Bush, Dole, Bush, Bush(would have voted for the “D” if a viable candidate was offered), McCain and Romney.
NO more. Will either leave blank or go the other side(UGH!!) if anymore GOPe’s are in the mix.
I will show up for the election just to vote for the proper Senator or Representative and ‘issues’ but will NOT vote for a GOPe.

The only way WE are going to knock off the GOPe is to NOT brace them up by voting for a clown we don’t want - all it does is ‘allow’ them to say (or think) the race was closer than they imagined.

ONLY when they get POUNDED with Reagan Like #’s will they start to (maybe) wake up.

Oh, I was doing some ‘research’ today on the 64 race when Goldwater was beaten by Johnson.

At that time Goldwater was fighting the GOPe with the same BS going on as today, so this ‘battle’ has been going on for at least 50 years and ‘we’ keep caving in to the GOPe candidate...

NEVER AGAIN....I don’t ‘like’ the candidate, he doesn’t get my vote. PERIOD.

Here's what we need to do. Whenever anyone says “Candidate X is a RINO who performs fellatio on our political and ideological enemies and I won't vote for them in the primary; but, I'll vote for them in the general election” we need to first beat the snot out of them and then gently explain to them the error of their ways.

Some have called the government we have a kleptocracy. But it is our problem - we had faith in these crooks because they waved the flag at us. I voted for GWB and believed that he was the 2nd coming of Reagan - but that was because the GOPe sold that to us - I was a trusting RUBE!!

But I am a rube no more. Only those who seriously act to dismantle the centrally planned FedGov have my vote. I’m not falling for their “wedge issue” BS (look up wedge issue to see how we are played for fools).

Defund the Fed. Give the states back their control. Government should be as local as possible - so you can yell at someone nearby if they oppress you.

And no more BS wars unless we go ALL IN with an act of congress - either we are in a state of WAR or we are NOT. No endless wars on everything that never end and only make the beast that oppresses us stronger.

And as for the Patriot Act - that act was put in place to oppress free people and christian conservatives. We were SUCKERS to believe it was for anyone else.
