Feds: Safety concerns led to Nevada cow release
AP ^ | 4/13/2014 | MARTIN GRIFFITH

Federal land managers say "escalating tensions" led them to release all 400 or so head of cattle rounded up on public land in southern Nevada from a rancher who has refused to recognize their authority.

"Based on information about conditions on the ground and in consultation with law enforcement, we have made a decision to conclude the cattle gather because of our serious concerns about the safety of employees and members of the public," Kornze said in a statement.

Hundreds of states' rights protesters, including militia members, showed up at corrals outside Mesquite to demand the animals' return to rancher Cliven Bundy. Some protesters were armed with handguns and rifles at the corrals and at an earlier nearby rally.

Las Vegas Police Lt. Dan Zehnder said the showdown was resolved with no injuries and no violence. Clark County Sheriff Doug Gillespie was able to negotiate a resolution after talking with Bundy, he said.

BS...it was the fact that Harry Reid’s land grab was exposed and the best option was for them to pull back before it gained traction with the regular MSM.

Absolutely.

The MSM probably breathed a sigh of relief also because the Progressive-Democrat shills that infest it would have been luridly exposed.

IMHO

Yes, the weasel's cover was blown, but most important the Commies met the Cowboys and the Cowboys had guns. Yes, guns, the great equalizer. They have an amazing way of establishing civility, rationality, and common sense to a situation. This exercise vividly points out why the Commies want to take all the guns.

Either that or while they were rustling cattle, one of the BLM thugs took a good look around, turned to the other one and said "You know if that militia we saw earlier caught us doing this out here, they could shoot us, bury us and no one would ever know."

This morning, I am enjoying the most delicious meal of crow imaginable.

My comment about the militia being baited up by the Regime was wrong.

Sometimes, it is nice to be wrong.

PS Once the Internet revealed the facts, the cat was out of the bag. Lamestream media not has a lower share of ad revenues than the Internet. That tells me where the public goes for data.

The Presstitutes will fight it out with the bridge trolls when their pay checks stop.

More popcorn, please!

"Republican Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval....criticized the agency for creating "an atmosphere of intimidation" and trying to confine protesters to a fenced-in "First Amendment area" well away from the sprawling roundup area."

Hats off to the patriots who proved that the first and second amendments apply beyond corral fences established by government tyrants.

Methinks you are dead on right. But the problem remains. I fully expect the Federals to be back at Mr. Bundy’s ranch on November 5 or very shortly there after. And back with a vengence.

IIRC, the Feds do this to the rats every nominating convention. I think in Boston, they built a cage where the rats could exert their first amendment rights.

Or perhaps they feared what might happen when a few hundred Oath Keepers were onsite.

The "Second Amendment Area" caused the BLM to surrender.

In my Sunday paper the good old Ay & Pee grocery news service (Associated Pimps) has a front page article on higher beef prices (”good news for ranchers”) and it continues just below a USA Today article `Feds end cattle roundup in Nevada’.
The dying fish-wrap media trying to ratchet up animus against the Bundys, as usual a day or two after the dust has settled, from the BLM’s `cattle gather’?
The USA Today article repeats BLM’s Neil Kornze’s lame arguments while simply stating that Bundy “refused to pay fees for the right to graze.”
If you’ve seen that land—desert brush—anyone charging a guy to graze on it should be ashamed. It reminds me of a saying about Texas Longhorns: `After butchering, a pile of horns, bones and hooves, and a bag of jerky.’

In other news, press secretary Jay Carney states that FLOTUS `Moochie’ dropped by his house this morning ... and “ate every scrap”.
“She was like a swarm of locusts ... we’re off the record, right? Anyway, I had to grab my kids ... “

Is anyone noticing how Barack Hussein Obama is AGAIN being unconnected with scandal....this time it's the fascist government's power grab in Nevada?

Talk about a Teflon president!

In the IRS scandal it's all about Lois Lerner. In the Benghazi scandal it's all about the video, Hillary or anything or anybody but Obama. In the ObamaCare scandal, it's all about Sibelius. We could go on and on citing scandal after scandal in which Obama remains cooly above it all as he flits from vacation to vacation, fund-raiser to fund-raiser, golf course to golf course. And the corrupt media never ties him into ANY scandal that might tarnish his god-like image. It's ALWAYS someone else's fault.

Here, in this almost movie-like Western saga, it's now all about the land-management bureau (and it's director as his background is now starting to come out)......and HARRY REID!

Hairy is and will be the boogie man, wait and see...and AGAIN Obama is above the fray.

Truth is, one phone call from Obama to Hairy would have nipped the whole Bundy persecution in the bud at the beginning. But Obama instinctively knew that if things went wrong at the OK Corral, Hairy would be a useful idiot to keep around as a lightning rod to take the heat.

Lerner, Sibelius, Reid, even Hillary are all going to be thrown under the bus by Obama, some already have been. There will be others. Obama escapes unscathed AGAIN!

Operating from the bowels of the White House, Obama destroys and eats his own.....and corrupt underlings and pawns like Lerner, Sibelius, Reid, etc. don't even know they're under the bus till their faces are buried in the gravel and they're eating dust and motor oil drippings.

No, the Government was not allowed to do their dirty deed under cover of darkness. The news was out and their agents, moles, and plants both on and off this forum, though they tried with all their might, could not demonize the Bundys to the extent necessary. But, don’t be misled, the Government goons had full intentions to kill them. And probably still do.
