It’s an article of the faith of the Democrats that voter fraud is nothing to worry about because it never happens. Kim Strach, the North Carolina director of elections, has living proof — and some dead proof — otherwise.
She has identified 35,750 persons who voted in North Carolina sharing a name, birth date and Social Security number with someone who voted in another state in 2012. Another 81 North Carolinians voted after they died. Ghosts have no constitutional rights, not yet, but Barack Obama and the Democrats think rigor mortis need not keep voters from practicing good citizenship.
President Obama nevertheless insists on looking the other way when voter fraud lies all about him. Speaking at a Democratic fundraiser in Houston last week, Mr. Obama criticized “active efforts to deter people from voting.”
“The idea that you’d purposely try to prevent people from voting?” Mr. Obama asked, and answered: “Un-American.”
Fraudulent ballots cast cancel valid votes, but only a tiny fraction of 1 percent of the cases cited in the North Carolina audit were referred for investigation and prosecution, as reported by WNCN-TV in Raleigh. The North Carolina figures were compiled as a result of an interstate cross-check effort among 28 states. Such figures show Gov. Pat McCrory and the Republican-majority North Carolina legislature were right to enact a voter photo-ID law, reduce early voting and end same-day registration. These abuses of Election Day invite fraud.

One is legal and stupid the other is illegal. Voter fraud steals our Constitutional rights... that's the one the FBI needs to look into...
Just change the voting process. Instead of popular vote winning the states electoral votes, give each county 1 point. Whoever wins the county gets 1 point. Most points win the states electoral votes.
This eliminates voter fraud because it allows the county to commit fraud. If Cook County wants to have 150% of the vote, go ahead. It doesn’t impact other counties so there cannot be any disenfranchisement. Cook County will get the same 1 vote as any other county.

Nothing makes them scream louder than attempting to reduce their base of fraud and foreigners.
Not even a “smidgen” of voter fraud going on....
That same premise works in Condo Associations or Gated Communities, because at Annual Meetings if you do not show up or send in your proxy on time, the BOD gets to cast your vote for whatever is propsed. Democrats love to be on the Boards of these places because they can ban flags, guns, or signs in the yard that say vote for their opponents.
That's why if you camped out in front of one of the 100%+ voting Philadelphia city precincts with a video camera to record who goes in and who comes out on election day, to compare with the "recorded numbers", you would be hit with a slew of federal felony charges so fast it would make your head spin.

How private condo organizations set up their rules is beyond me...
The difference is: it's NOT legal to steal a person's vote in a State or Federal election because someone chose NOT to vote. If I had my way, one of the choices on a ballot would be 'none of the above'...kind of a universal protest vote.

Voting is done by precinct, instead of by city or by county, so the number of voters arriving won’t overwhelm the facility.
So, with the bloc of registered voters broken up into manageable chunks, why is it so difficult to cull the deceased from the voter lists, or verify the names and addresses of the living? Can’t they assign ONE precinct worker to spend a few hours a year cleaning up the list? Hell, I’m sure somebody would happily volunteer to pay for such an effort!
As for the problem identified in North Carolina, each one of those 35K “double” voters should be flagged on the voter list. A little red dot next to their name should be enough. When they show up next time, have the nice police officer come over and ask them a few questions. (I’ve never seen a voting place that DIDN’T have a detail cop on hand.)
And if all that isn’t enough, there’s alway the bottle of purple ink, a la Iraq. One vote, dip the finger and you’re done for the day. Better yet, the purple ink couldn’t be scammed, as even Voter ID might by. (Though I agree that early voting, same-day registration and most absentee voting all need to go.)
Fraudulent voting is such a huge threat to our system of Constitutional governance, yet the solutions seem so cheap and easy. I don’t get it. At the very least, volunteer to be a “poll watcher” for your precinct.
Also true of college students who attend college out of state. I’m not saying a lot do this, but it is very very easy to do.

I had occasion to check on the disability status of someone with a representative from the EDD.
When I provided them the Social Security number she had provided in order to collect benefits, they told me that there were at least 10 other people using that Social Security Number.
Of course the EDD was paying her benefits even though she provided them with a false social security number. How are we to know she isn’t working under a different social security number and collecting benefits at the same time?
If you or I gave a false social security number to get disability benefits, we’d go to jail. Illegal aliens, however, get treated like royalty when they break the laws.
Americans are second class citizens in their own country!
Still not a peep of this story in the Charlotte Observer. Although they continue to hammer the voter idea law pretty hard...
Ya know, P-M, it is not a hard thing for a computer to compile a list of social security numbers receiving benefits. Nor is it hard to sort them and see how many names are using any given number.
It's like the billion dollar web site, the billion dollar failed solar company, etc.
They're just handing out money to their friends.
I'll bet we could easily exist on the US gross receipts only, without any borrowing at all, if we'd just rid ourselves of waste, fraud, and abuse.
I expect to see cross impact data from all 50 states eventually not just 28, and summary reports from other states besides North Carolina.
Were the social security numbers for the other 35,000 people compared and found not to match up or were they not compared at all? The article doesn't state which of these possibilities is the case.
Yep, they could cry anything they want to... but we’re gonna catch ‘em.
If we sue them things will change. Stealing my vote is a civil rights issue... When democrats vote people who don’t show up - including the dead - the destroys the power of my vote.
That makes their theft a civil rights issue. We take this to the Supreme Court and it’s back to verifiable paper ballots and ZERO cheating unless a person wants to go to prison.
