For two consecutive days last week, the amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) in the earth's atmosphere exceeded 402 parts per million (ppm,) higher than at any time in at least the past 800,000 years, according to the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
Carbon dioxide levels tend to peak in May, which means that they are likely to rise even more. According to an article in Mashable, a news and tech website, the latest figures "put humans into uncharted territory."
Just last month, the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change released a damning report that illustrated the growing dangers of global warming. The panel focused on carbon dioxide emissions and warned about the dangers of inaction.

I counted the rings (about 150), and googled up tree ring stuff, thinking I could fit my rings into the ‘master’ scheme.
There was a log of judgement calls on the individual tree ring classifications, in my opinion. So much so that I quit the quest.

Most of the CO2 is "sequestered" in the oceans, sea shells are constructed primarily of Calcium Carbonate and provide yet another source of CO2 data.
One fact buried by the GW whores is that higher atmospheric CO2 levels are caused by a rise in the temperature of sea water, not the other way around. The warmer water can hold less dissolved CO2 than colder water. So, a rise in CO2 levels FOLLOWS a rise in global temperature.
We haven't had any "global warming" in over a decade.
Every measurement has an uncertainty spread attached to it. I'm guessing that the uncertainty spread here is very high.
For example, suppose that the CO2 measurement for 400,000 years ago (!) was 50 ppm. And suppose the spread was plus or minus 20 ppm. Then the actual value could be as low as 30 ppm or as high as 70 ppm.
I'd put little stake in numbers such as those.
Later and later Spring the past 8 years or so, with trees just leafing out and oaks blooming-that used to happen the last week of February to the 2nd week of March. Temperatures down to near freezing tomorrow night, yeah I’m sure the heat from that CO2 will kill us all soon...
And who, exactly do these lunatics think “saved” the climate 800,000 years ago? Tribes of Homo Habilis or Australopithecus? They certainly didn’t die out, either, so I don’t think the sky is falling...

As it is the extra carbon dioxide is causing a lot more greening around the planet. Guess why....wait for it. Plants love carbon dioxide! In fact they breathe it. The richer the carbon dioxide the more they grow.

Assuming the 800k yr high is correct, doesn’t that simply show there is not a strong correlation between CO2 level and temperature? Surely there have been plenty of periods since 798,000 B.C. when it was lots warmer than it is now. Maybe the fact that there is a lot of CO2 in the atmosphere means only that there is a lot of CO2 in the atmosphere. Maybe when it gets warmer CO2 increases, but not as much as the increase from fossil fuel usage. Either way, CO2 doesn’t change the climate.
