AUGUSTA, Ga. — Big-driving Bubba Watson captured his second Masters title in three years on Sunday, pulling away from Jordan Spieth on the back nine for a three-stroke victory at Augusta National.

The 35-year-old American fired a three-under par 69 Sunday to finish 72 holes on eight-under 288 and take his second major title, the top prize of $1.62 million from a record $9 million purse and another green jacket.

“I never loved green so much,” Watson said. “After giving away that jacket last year, I wanted it back.”

Watched the whole round today. Glad to see Bubba win another one but it would have been exciting if The kid Spieth had made a game of it instead of stumbling.

The announcers were bubbling all over themselves at the idea that the kid would win.

That’s when I started rooting for Bubba. LOL.

How could anybody on FR not root for someone named Bubba, particularly considering what has been going on in the U.S. this week.

There is way more important “cow pasture pool” going on in the USA.

Spieth will win his share before he’s done.

Spieth’s problem was that he wore that light green golf shirt...he would’ve clashed hideously with the Masters’ green jacket, had he won! He was jinxed from the start!

Probably.

I just want announcers to announce. Simple concept.

Please translate that to English, Ma.

Thanks in advance.

Watson wins in much the same way as Mickelson - he hits shots no one else would dare attempt. It’s great when it works...

Oh good.... I was stuck fixing a leaking pipe and missed most of the Masters today...

I was getting sort of worried when Watson started to fall apart yesterday in the last five holes....

It was a great win. Jordan kept up amazingly well. Kudos to both.

The most painfully boring sport in the world, presented in a way you can’t follow. But the people who play it are rich, so the rest of the nation have it crammed down our throats.

Does your TV have an “off” or “change channel” switch?

Use it.

Agreed.

During the Kentucky/Wisconsin game in the final four, a Kentucky player threw a Wisconsin player to the floor and the homer announcers were like, foul, what foul.

It was disgraceful.

Dangus—your comment makes you sound like a liberal. Jealous of those who’ve worked hard to earn money, and ignorant of the game so it’s not tolerable to you. Just as you can change the channel at home, you don’t even have to participate in this thread.

During the Kentucky/Wisconsin game in the final four, a Kentucky player threw a Wisconsin player to the floor and the homer announcers were like, foul, what foul.

That's because it was a black player throwing the punch at the white guy and knocking him to the floor. And the outcome of the call was to give BOTH players a technical. If this situation was reversed, and the white guy threw a punch and knocked the black player to the floor.....it would instantly have been a flagrant foul, and the white guy would have been immediately ejected from the game, and potential assult charges would likely be filed against the U-W Madison as well as against the white player.

But a black player getting ejected or flagrant foul for hitting a white player? No big deal, lets play ball. That's what happens when you have specially protected classes of people such as blacks, homos/lesbians & Islamics. All three of these special protected groups constitute the new tyranny, only these groups will really relish killing off their opponents or those who disagree with the special protected classes.

20 yr. old Spieth did just fine in his first Masters tourney!

Look at the seasoned pro’s who stumble under the pressure.

Is your clicker broke?

Why did you use this thread to post a class warfare comment?

My brother is basically broke, but he plays.

Most golfers are not rich. If you can back that up with real numbers I will eat my hat. There are millions of golfers who are not wealthy at all. What a silly assertion.
