A bird native to Arizona and other western states could be listed as a threatened species by the federal government.

The Yellow-billed Cuckoo lives along the Verde, Colorado and San Pedro Rivers in Arizona. It also can be found at the Gila River and Rio Grande in New Mexico and the Sacramento and Kern Rivers in California.

Federal officials said the bird’s habitat is shrinking because of dams and other construction projects on the rivers, plus cattle grazing.

So, in order to protect the land that protects the land that protects the land where the birds are found, I guess they will have to evacuate the entire population (except for the illegals, of course).

The only way to save this bird is to allow more “immigrants” into Arizona, tax the rich and end any racism towards Federal regulations!

I would rather we list the Democrat Cuckoo as an endangered species and decide that their native habitat consists of areas north of the Potomac River and within 50 miles of the Atlantic Ocean and south of the Canadian border within 50 miles of the Pacific Ocean.

I would also like to treat them the way the BLM treats grouse. You cannot disturb the grouse during the mating season in its native habitat, but you can take as many of them outside its native habitat during mating season and as many of them anywhere after mating season.

Arizona Cuckoo Could Be Listed As Threatened Bird Species.

Does that mean McCain can't run again in 2016?

These Cuckoos eat bugs and nothing turns off bugs more than cow dung.

I think I see more ranchers being chased off the King's land.

WHOA! What do facts have to do with the forward motion of the Obamanation Transformation of America?

Facts haven’t slowed down the Global Warmers, as they seamlessly morphed into the Climate Changers.

THE LIBERAL CAUSE trumps all facts, now and forever.

FORWARD!

An awful lot of the non urban private property in Arizona, at least, is located along the San Pedro, Gila and Verde rivers. The rest of the rural propery is largely government owned - Forest Service.

The Yellow-billed Cuckoo is very tasty. It tastes like rattlesnake. Bagged one here in SW Colorado a few weeks ago. Fricasseed it and it was delicious. I used a spotted owl sauce. Very important.

A county judge in Arkansas was telling my brother about how some mussels in a creek prevented the county from building a bridge. He said, “Next time we plan on building a bridge I’m going to hire some kids to get all the mussels and move them somewhere else.”

Back in the 1950s the Kirtland’s warblers were down to a handful of breeding pairs nesting in a tiny area of a few dozen square miles in northern Michigan jackpines.

Today the birds number in the many thousands because of man doing what man does. They’re found throughout the northern 3rd of the lower peninsula, a growing portion of the upper peninsula and have even been spotted nesting in Wisconsin.

The birds traditionally nested only in young jack pines that grew up in a few years after forest fires. Today, between controlled burns and logging there are ample areas of habitat. If it weren’t for man, the birds would likely be extinct by now all on their own.
