With pro-abortion Democrats controlling the Colorado state legislature and the governors office, abortion activists are pushing what pro-life groups are calling the most radically pro-abortion legislation in the states history.
Colorado Family Action has alerted its members about SB 175, that it says pro-life advocates need to steadfastly oppose.
colopic2This is a radical bill that would create a fundamental right to abortion among other things defined as reproductive healthcare in this bill, the group says. No Colorado State governmental body at any level would be able to enact a policy that denies or interferes with an individuals reproductive health care decision.
SB 175 is an extreme piece of legislation that would have a destructive impact on Colorados ability to limit or regulate abortion and other items defined as reproductive healthcare in this bill, CFA goes on to say.
Colorado Family Action says the legislation has the potential to eliminate a broad range of laws including: parental notification laws, parental involvement laws, laws promoting maternal health, government programs and facilities that pay for or promote childbirth and other health care without subsidizing abortion, conscience protections laws, laws requiring that abortion only be performed by a licensed physician, laws regulating school health clinics, laws concerning abstinence education, laws affecting pregnancy centers and so on. When passed in other states, these sorts of laws have been proven to reduce the number of abortions to historic lows.
The group Pro-Life of Southern Colorado is also strongly opposing the measure touted as the Reproductive Health Freedom Act.
This over-reaching piece of legislation would essentially shut down any attempt to pass life-affirming legislation in Colorado ever again. More than that, it enshrines the right to abortion into Colorado law. Its being praised by anti-life organizations such as NARAL and ThinkProgress as the first of its kind in the country and ambitious. It enshrines the culture of death into law and ignores science, the organization says.
This bill would prevent lawmakers from enacting laws such as ultrasound requirements, which we all knowparticularly from the work of the Knights of Columbus Ultrasound Initiative here in Coloradohave done so much to give mothers vital information about their pregnancy, and thus save countless children from imminent death, Pro-Life of Southern Colorado laments. It prevents common sense regulations like waiting periods, restrictions on abortion pills (particularly for minors), and parental notification policies. Advocates of this bill seek the absolute right to abortion for girls as young as 10 or 11 without a parents knowledge, guidance or advice. Parents are seen as unfit in the moral guidance of their children.
This bill would also eliminate abortion clinic health code regulations, which pro-abortion advocates label as burdensome.
Remember Kermit Gosnell in Philadelphia, and the horrific images and stories of women nearly dying on the abortionists table? That is what an unregulated abortion clinic looks like! This bill is not good for the women and girls of Colorado, the group concludes.
ACTION: Contact your members of the Colorado Senate and urge them to OPPOSE SB 175. Go to http://www.coloradoaction.org/senate/

Over-reaching, my foot. How about killing legislation?
Or will they kill off all the dimocrats?
How would one law prevent another law? Doesn’t that require a constitutional thingie?
“This bill would also eliminate abortion clinic health code regulations, which pro-abortion advocates label as burdensome. “
Yeah I bet they are. So much easier to show the woman to the door and let her bleed to death on her own.
Good point and what do people say? A McDonald’s, restaurants and barber shops will get more inspections than an abortion clinic in some places.
I’ve spent plenty of time in Colorado, beautiful state but haven’t been there now for a time. It’s certainly alarming to see all of these things go on there.
This bill would also eliminate abortion clinic health code regulations, which pro-abortion advocates label as burdensome.
And so these abortuaries get less scrutiny than a church baked goods sale do.
Nobody wants to look at the God-damned ugly thing, is the real reason. They know it’s evil. They just want to dance with the devil then be on their way.
RECALL!!!!!!!!!!!! These fascist baby-killing little thugs, under the command of a homo speaker in the house, are murderous pigs.
Can someone please define for me the liberal terms “reproductive healthcare” or until recently “women’s healthcare” is this codespeak for abortion on demand and without limits? Or have as much unprotected irresponsible sex as humanly possible with no consequences or obligations emotionally or financially?
Just add a provision that makes it mandatory to have an abortion if you are a registered democrat all the way up to the 300th trimester, they love abortion so damned much force them to have one...
Soon in a generation or two their numbers will dwindle.
I know it if fighting dirty and all... But make them sleep in the bed they made for themselves...
CO legalized dope.
This sort of thing is understandable and inevitable in such an environment.
Well that’s different.
I thought I was posting to the Bill Clinton thread....
24 children are dying at the moment that picture was taken.
Life is a eight.
Abortion is for privilege to murder, license to kill.
Coloradeans have signed their own death sentence if they go for this.
* Life is a right
What motivates these slime bags, besides Satan? It is almost like they foam at the mouth in their zeal to kill babies. Maybe some of them know God is not pleased with it, so they deliberately do the opposite of what God wants.
They are satanic. Its the only conclusion you can come to. The Founders would have shot this scum.
Although I'm pro-life, the above statement is PC hogwash imo. Any state legislature can essentially repeal a new state law the next day if it wants to.
So all the nuts who used to live in Boulder have migrated throughout the state like a cancer.
