MSNBC host Al Sharpton is back at the White House today, this time for a Holy Week prayer breakfast with President Obama and dozens of faith leaders. Sharpton’s arrival comes just two days after Obama embraced the controversial activist and former FBI informant at a New York event hosted by the liberal broadcaster....
Obama compared the ID laws to the Jim Crow restrictions of the segregated South and cast himself as a modern-day civil rights leader. It may not wash with most voters, but will it be enough to frighten the Democratic base into action?

I don’t think the low info. voters will show up for the mid terms. I doubt they even know who is running.

When the Democrats talk about “motivation” what they really mean is getting the fraud machine up and running. That costs money. Thugs and thieves don’t work for free.
There is plenty of time for more fiascoes like Dirty Reid’s Nevada land grab to get people to think.
You need some sort of a bogeyman, which you rarely have in off-year elections.
The Koch Brothers? Good luck with that. They’ve wisely kept a low profile. No one can tell you what they look like.
The Dems won’t get the chance to run against a plastic Mormon in Armani suits who abuses dogs, ships jobs to India and gives people cancer. Not this time.
Rove & Co. used the same tactics in 2006...didn’t work very well, IIRC.
Maybe low information types like criminals... it’s not that they don’t care... it’s that they don’t care about the same things the rest of us care about.
Fear - essential part of the Democratic campaign strategy that is introduced at least 5 months before voters go to the pols.
Fear articles are signals to ‘get out the vote’ and to ‘vote often.’
The truth is that the Democrat party would cease to exist if there weren't the so called “inequalities.” Bottom line: their existence depends on the lies and deceit.
The author should have used his "official" government title.
People will believe things they want to hear.
Some of the things many will want to hear in this next election:
- That my student loans will be forgiven.
- That the government will create a well-paying job for me so that I can finally put my Art History degree to good use.
- That everyone in America will be given universal free access to broadband of unlimited bandwidth.
- That a bunch of nasty, eeeeeevil bankers will be rounded up for a televised public flogging, live from Yankee Stadium.
In the throes of desperation, look for the Democrats to try ALL of these, and more.
And I hope that conservatives call them out on their lies.

It worked in the past. The Democrat-Progressives are bankrupt of Ideas. Their lies have caused people to give up on them—Now all they have is scare tacticts and the Race-Gender cards.
Vote for Republicans and the KKK will be hanging folks and burning churches! Vote Republican and woman will be sent home to be baby factories enslaved to their husbands—locked into chasitity belts! The old Hope & Change, Unicorns and rainbows will not work anymore-—fear is all they have.
