Skip to comments.Harry Reid on Bundy Ranch Showdown: 'It's not Over'; Rory Reid says Bundy should be Prosecuted
Posted on 04/15/2014 10:12:49 AM PDT by Jim Robinson
Following remarks Senate Majority leader Harry Reid made at the University of Nevada, Reno on Monday, the Nevada Democrat told Reno's KRNV TV his thoughts on the cattle controversy in Gold Butte. "Well, it's not over. We can't have an American people that violate the law and then just walk away from it. So it's not over," Reid said.
There is no question that there were a lot of things going on down there with breaking the law," Reid said. "And that is not over yet. We can't let that continue. So I'm sure it is not the end of it."
Reid was confronted earlier at UNR during the Q & A time after Reid's speech about the cattle issue by Kim Kollman a former teacher at Truckee Meadows Community College, The Reno Gazette Journal reported:
Citing Reuters News Service, the Drudge Report and another website, Kollman asked Reid if he was in collusion with his son and the "Communist Chinese" to forcibly remove Bundy from his property to help bring more solar energy to Southern Nevada. Kollman said Reid was "papering over" the question of possible collusion.
Reid replied, "That is an easy question to paper over. Do you know what you just said? Please read something else. And that is how I'm going to respond to that question."
The crowd applauded Reid. Kollman then asked Reid, "What are you afraid of, sir?" before Kollman was asked by an organizer to sit down, which he did.
Reid was critical of BLM's inability to conduct a successful operation in Bunkersville saying, "The BLM shouldnt have started this if they couldnt develop a plan to finish it successfully.

Prosecute first, punish second. The BLM thinks they can skip the first step.
Maybe Rory should look in the mirror...
People in glass houses....
“The crowd applauded Reid.”
Like good little useful idiots.
What a hypocrite.
Reid is an arrogant criminal.
It’s almost like Rory Reid has a say in this.
Searchlight, NV should be BURNED to the ground and the earth salted for producing this POS!
“We can’t have an American people that violate the law and then just walk away from it. So it’s not over,” Reid said.”
Members of the political class excepted, of course.
- - - We cant have an American people that violate the law and then just walk away from it. - - -
But, but, that is the very definition of the Obamanation Transformation of the United States of America:
* fast and furious,
* IRS Scandal;
* NSA Scandal;
* Mandatory Obamacare,
* etc, etc, etc.
Searchlight, NV should be BURNED to the ground and the earth salted for producing this POS!
Might want to start at the Ritz Carlton in DC which houses the POS.
The crowd applauded Reid.
This is what sucks.
Can anyone explain why Reid is involved in this anyway? This doesn’t seem that the US Senate should get involved in what clearly looks like a BLM/Dept of the Interior matter. Reid’s nose shouldn’t be anywhere near this issue. That is unless he is personally involved in facilitating a particular outcome. I say follow the money on this one. Someone is profiting. If the cattle grazed there for 100+ years, it seems that the tortoise and cattle have gotten along in the past. Why now is it a problem?
Who made Reid a federal prosecutor?
Maybe Reid and his son should be prosecuted.
I think Reid is getting a bit senile, and said something he didn't mean to.
He could have said, "We can't have people that violate the law." I think that's what he meant to say. But he didn't. He said "We can't have an American people that violate the law." In other words, he actually seems this just as we do: A tyrannical government ("we") versus the American people as a whole, or at least against those willing to stand up for their rights.
Reid represents the all-powerful government, which cannot permit the American people to stand up against anything it decides to impose on them. And in this instance, Reid IS the government and the law.
But I don't think he meant to say he was putting down the American people. Just some people who were behaving illegally. Still, that's what he said. An interesting admission, and I think probably unintended.
Is this Rory, the son of Hairy Reid, the same Rory that ran a political campaign under the name Rory only because the last name of the crook Hairy would ruin his campaign? The guy that omitted his last name in ads while he was running for office? Well yes, I believe he is the inbred son of a Hairy Reid.
Maybe this link below will get you up to speed, his OWS rant will make you reach for your duck-tape, other than that it is not bad...
It's an amazing coincidence that one of America's most articulate lawyers just happens to be the son of the Majority Leader.
Arlen Spector always had a pat answer when he was caught by a question he didn’t think he should answer:
“Ahh, that’s not within the purview of a United States senator.”
Sen. Reid should not be expressing an opinion in this matter. More so, if his finger prints are found anywhere near the BLM decision to go all tactical on Bundy.
Patriots need to surround the Reids’ homes and give them all a good taste of the medicine they like to prescribe.
The tree of liberty needs to be refreshed.
But, it's just fine and dandy for politicians and those in the federal government to violate the law and use their positions to "walk away from it".
The Reid mob family is determined to murder Americans for the Chinese gold.
Right, we just put up with that lawbreaking. But if it's fifteen million or more illegal alien, future Dim voters guilty of serial lawbreaking over many years, then that's just fine. Anyone who says otherwise is a racist hater and a xenophobe nativist who breaks up families. Right Harry?
“Reids nose shouldnt be anywhere near this issue.”
Yes it does. It belongs with the constituent.
Nevada thru the Looking Glass ,, not a pretty sight, it’s run like a fiefdom,,
I’m surprised that HARRY tolerates smelly tourists and farting cattle anywhere near his family&cronies compounds.
If Harry would finally drop dead it would be over.
Reid is begging to remind me of VP Spiro Agnew. Corruption was such a normal part of his life that he spoke openly on camera about the bribes he had taken. I suspect he never understood why he had to resign. It’s also like the college pot user, to whom pot use is so normal that he lights up in front of a cop and then is incensed when he gets arrested. (I actually heard one say, “Dude, what are you doing? Everybody does it!”)
This egomaniac is more frightening than many historical figures.
So there we have it. The problem with Bundy is that he is an American. But Reid is totally fine with Mexicans and people from any other country coming here illegally and violating our laws. The more the merrier, just as long as they vote Democrat.
I may have missed it but I’ve never heard Dingy Harry say a thing about Obama and his lapdog AG Holder violating the law and walking away from it, they’ve done it for over five years.
Here's one that shows why the Sheriff of Clark County is duty bound to keep the BLM and all Federal agents from arresting Cliven Bundy.
“Rory Reid says Bundy should be Prosecuted”
Rory NEEDS the money and the influence from that deal to buy his way into the Governor’s Office.
The peons should know better than to stand up to the Royals, and must be publicly punished as an example to others, doncha know.
We can’t have an American people violate the law and just walk away.
I believe these words were very carefully chosen, we have IMMIGRANTS
break the LAW every day with old Harry standing and fighting for them,
they are not AMERICAN PEOPLE!!!! The laws ONLY apply to AMERICAN
people unless of course your a congress critter, or government employee!!!
Thanks for the link.
Kerry Picket deserves kudos, she has been a brave reporter.
Apparently cattle impoundment is a routine for them.
Here's your proof that they are putting ranchers out of business.
The reason that things were ramping up? Counties were starting to challenge federal ownership of land. In 1991, Catron County in New Mexico passed an ordinance that claimed state ownership and local management of public land in the state. Thirty five counties followed suit. Nye County, Nevada, became the first to act on its legislated threat. The county commissioner bulldozed his way down a closed national forest road. Forest rangers soon followed, who the county commissioner threatened to arrest if they interfered.
Did you see that Demonic smile that Reid has in the video?
Bundy has forge,water and graze rights according to English Common Law, U.S. Common Law, Federal and Nevada State Law. His family was the first ones to show up in Wagons back in 1877. The BLM did not even exist until after WWII.
The Tortoise B.S. was just their excuse to get around the law. It turns out the Feds killed over 1000 of the same Tortoise last August.
The truth is this about Communist China through the proxy of Harry Reid and BLM are trying to steal this American’s Land to build a Solar Farm there.
Just think we have a U.S. Senator, through crony capitalism/U.N. Agenda 21, taking the side Communist China over an American’s property in his OWN STATE.
Rory Reid voted for the Clark County Multiple Species Habitat Conservation Plan, a plan which not only takes Bundy’s business from him so that other business may benefit, but Reid represented one of those businesses who benefits: ENN.
When do some of the other senators call him out. He has gone way past the line. Or does someone need to be killed first.
No but we can have 11+ million Illegals circumventing the law and sucking the taxpayer dry!
I don’t need proof that the government drives ranchers or any other businesses or persons out of business. I know it does. My point is Bundy’s the wrong guy to make this stand with. The law and facts are not on his side. Where’s the money he’s paid the county/state for “grazing rights”? Where are his receipts or proofs of payment?
The government has given him several outs already that were better than the deal he’s going to get: federal liens. He didn’t take them. This process has taken two decades. It’s been through numerous courts. There isn’t a direct due process case to be made here.
What we should be doing is:
1. Publicizing this in such a way that suburban/urban voters can understand what’s at stake.
2. Looking for good cases to make against the abuses of the BLM, in this case, and other government agencies.
3. Electing the most conservative US House and Senate we can and demanding that they act to reduce the scope of the federal government.
4. There’s a great state’s rights issue here and it can be exploited for our cause. Let’s approach state legislators and appeal to their own selfish motives to demand federal land be turned over to the states.
Jacquerie among others has been pushing to repeal the 17th Amendment. There are some issues with that, we’ll get an Internet sales tax if we ever lose the House again , but this is in the same vein.
Jacquerie, courtesy ping since I mentioned you specifically.
Clive Bundy is not going to jail. He will go down as a martyr fighting for liberty if necessary.
Bundy is the one standing up to them. The others have all gone by the way and caved.
There were quite a few state reps at the ranch supporting Bundy.
Great video. The the reason OWS is completely incompatible with the Freedom movement is they want the government to punish the corporations, take their wealth, and subsidize all gay marriages with it. If they were really just about the unfairness of a system that allows most of the wealth to be consolidated in 1% of the population, they would have been occupying K street. They were set up by unions.
That refreshing WILL come. Bank on it: buy ammo.
I will be writing a Rory article the next couple of days (sooo much to do). Reviewing my old notes.
To ponder: Rory took over Dario Herreras County Commisson seat, so Herrera could run for Congress. Herrera then sent to jail for taking tittybar bribes from Mike Galardi at Cheetahs.
Harry and Rory need to keep this in the news so we can take a can of whoop ass to their sorry cadavers.
