Whenever somebody is “offended”, and then demands apology, they aren’t seeking apology, they are lusting for approbation of their arrogance.

Not necessarily. When the remarks are slander and public, and about individuals not in the public eye, we allow those offended parties recourse to the law for remedies that will stop up the offenders' mouths. AFIK.
