Candidate Bill de Blasio was “deeply troubled” by NYPD surveillance of mosques, and now his police commissioner is dropping the program. Matt Apuzzo and Joseph Goldstein report ion the New York Times:

Blood will be on his hands. Moron.
Why not just pretend the mosques are gun owners (they probably are) and call it an ongoing investigation of gun and munition owners?
Nothing is shocking anymore. The people in NY city are beyond hopeless.
A great announcement to make, especially if your plan is to continue “watching the mosques.”
...A man can hope anyway...
People with any decency need to pack up and get their families out of there. Take the financial hit, do whatever. It;’s only material stuff. But this moron is going to get people killed. As long as it’s his own kind, so be it.
Actually the folks in NYC are APATHETIC. 77% did not even bother to vote last November. And how they would drone on about how bad things are becoming...
Never underestimate the destructive power of political correctness. The city that was devastated by the 9/11 Muslim terrorist attack, is now too sheepish to defend itself.
More political correctness that is going to get us all killed. But hey! We’ll feel good about ourselves while we’re being slaughtered.
We are headed to a very bad place.
Each and every time a liberal is elected to office,
there is a point where ideology will trump the needs of those who elected them into office.
Congrats NYC libs: tell me with a straight face and clear conscience that you feel comfortable with the mayor now.
It will be. I think so far its about 16 potential attacks those programs prevented since Sept. 11th, and even then one got through a few years ago by trying to blow up a car bomb in Times square (which failed to detonate). I think the average is one terror attack or material support of terror per year they prevent by surveillance which of course this Marxist jackass completely ignores. So what will be the result now? Guess what? A terror attack!! And WHEN it happens, of course Comrade de Blasio aka Warren Wilhelm, will blame Republicans.
This is the last slimebag I remember they caught, he tried to blow up the subway system using backpack bombs
I agree and would only add that the NY Electorate put this admitted (allegedly) communist in office. So, when the next attack occurs, and it will, once again radical lefties (communists) will get a bunch of non-communists, men, women and children SLAUGHTERED!
Some think ALL male Muslims in the US that will not denounce (sworn oath in writing) violence and slaughter of innocents (like 911) should be put on a slow freighter to the deserts of Saudi Arabia.
Why worry...it’s not like NYC is a target or anything.
This will free up NYPD to perform surveillance on Tea Party subversives, hiding out in christian churches.
The ones with brains (like Rush) have already left. The ones with half a brain (like Hannity) are planning to leave. The rest will continue to vote themselves more income. From where, doesn't matter. New York is the walking dead.
WTH! Wikipedia couldn’t be bothered to post a picture of this goat fu..
This de blasio clown is just like 0bama. They both are giving a free pass to the members of the religion of peace, and they don’t care if innocent Americans are sacrificed on the altar of political correctness.
I don’t know about my eyes today, first glance at the article headline ,I saw the word mosquito.
Maybe I’m in denial.
Wait for it?
Hey, we all know that these peaceful, faithful muslims are no threat to the rest of us. It is big sodas and big macs that are the real problem. Oh, that and the NRA and the Tea Party. But not good honest peaceful muslims!
Don’t expect an outpouring of synpathy and money contributions from the rest of America when the next terrorist mass killing occurs in NYC. You idiots elected him, you will bear the responsibility and the cost.
de Blasio is an enemy islamist facilitator.
