Posted on 04/16/2014 8:10:33 PM PDT by Olog-hai
The outlook for the presidents health care overhaul suddenly appears brighter, and some Democrats are saying its time for the party to openly embrace the law that Republicans consider their best campaign weapon.
Activists in one Senate race are doing just that. Other Democratic candidates, however, remain wary, unsure that a modest dose of good news will be enough to offset countless TV ads denouncing Obamacare. Those worries are well founded, say Republicans who shrug off the developments Democrats tout. [ ]
Republicans already were pushing their luck by vowing to repeal and replace the health care law without having a viable replacement in mind, says Thomas Mills, a Democratic consultant and blogger in North Carolina. Now, he says, Democrats have even more reasons to rise from their defensive crouch on this topic.
Democrats need to start making the case for Obamacare, Mills says. They all voted for it, they all own it, so they cant get away from it. So theyd better start defending it.

Democrats should run on it... what a wonderful idea.
Too afraid to state the obvious.
If they want to go and sell lousy government-dictated insurance in a marketplace you can buy from only once a year, the Democrats can be our guest.
They’re in deep denial.
Translation : spin and lie like a mother f###er and count on the MSN to back you up.
It’s ObamaInsurance and it sucks.
The only way to defend Obamascam is to lie about it. It worked in 2012 for the Rats, and with our advocate media it might work again in 2014.
["some"] == ["not running this year"]
The big lie has been busted already. How many more lies can they tell to bring back any semblance of legitimacy?
Lie Big! Project delusion!
There are people just begging to buy it.
Gosh I sure hope they don’t do that. They would sure win if they did. They can do ANYTHING to us just dont run on Obamacare!
They will defend it until the new insurance rates for 2015 are published in July or August - then they’ll run for the hills ...
Any True Believer would defend it enthusiastically, without hesitation or doubt. The rest should be purged from the Party.
Because everyone will believe television over their real life dying friends and relatives.
The old addage that you can fool all of the people some of the time and some of the people all of the time intrinsically admits that there are circumstances where fooling all of the people is not possible.
PT Barnum was right.
They did believe that things would fall apart gradually and that they would be able to shift the blame to the Republicans and harness the anger generated.
Had they gotten Romney into office the blame would still have gone where they desired.
Someone posted the following quote on another thread:
“If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures.” - Alexander Hamilton
The Grim Reaper.
The number of people have dead and dying relatives this November because of Obama care is going to be a tiny number. They are hoping they can lie and spin with the majority of voters, and based on past experience, they may get away with it, look at how they were able to take a victory lap about the fictitious 7 million enrolled and have the MSN declare it a huge success. Will it work? I doubt it, but what alternative do they have?
