Fox News Poll: Christie, Bush and Paul Are Top GOP Picks -- Today -- for 2016
Fox News ^ | April 16, 2014 | Dana Blanton

Posted on 04/17/2014 9:53:09 AM PDT by lbryce

Yes, it’s a bit early to talk about the 2016 election. It’s just too much fun not to do it. You’re welcome.

With about 20 months to go before the Iowa precinct caucuses, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul lead the pack for the Republican presidential nomination. Meanwhile, former Sec. of State Hillary Clinton continues to hold a huge lead among Democrats, according to a Fox News poll released Wednesday.

Charles Darwin would be utterly mystified at the startling dichotomy between the evolution of the human specie and the egregious devolvement of its political doppelganger. What a vacuous bunch of clueless, charismatically inert, political gargoyles.

What a vacuous bunch of clueless, charismatically inert, political gargoyles.

That sentence, sir, is not merely accurate. It also is a thing of beauty.

This is comedy. Christie? Did they poll any republicans in this poll?

And, if this is accurate, I am done with the republican party. Christie is full of gas. Jeb is the “we can’t think of anyone else to run” candidate.

If Christie or Jeb is the nominee, I am setting this one out. There’s not much difference between either of them and HILLARY.

The more RINOs that run, the better, let them all beat each other up for once.

I came to that conclusion for myself a couple of years ago. They really are a sink hole for effort, money, hope and energy. They are the Mensheviks.

means nothing, simply a poll of name recognition at this point.

Cruz has the nomination unless Palin runs, then it will be a real horse race.

Why won't Moses talk with Jeb Bush?

Because the last time he talked to a Bush he spent 40 years wandering the desert.

Thank you for your extraordinarily kind words.

But more than beauty, it is truth.

'"Beauty is truth, truth beauty," - that is all/Ye know on earth, and all ye need to know.

Ode on a Grecian Urn
http://englishhistory.net/keats/poetry/odeonagrecianurn.html

Ode on a Grecian Urn
Written in 1819, 'Ode on a Grecian Urn' was the third of the five 'great odes' of 1819, which are generally believed to have been written in the following order - Psyche, Nightingale, Grecian Urn, Melancholy, and Autumn. Of the five, Grecian Urn and Melancholy are merely dated '1819'. Critics have used vague references in Keats's letters as well as thematic progression to assign order. ('Ode on Indolence', though written in March 1819, perhaps before Grecian Urn, is not considered one of the 'great odes'.)

This ode contains the most discussed two lines in all of Keats's poetry - '"Beauty is truth, truth beauty," - that is all/Ye know on earth, and all ye need to know.' The exact meaning of those lines is disputed by everyone; no less a critic than TS Eliot considered them a blight upon an otherwise beautiful poem. Scholars have been unable to agree to whom the last thirteen lines of the poem are addressed. Arguments can be made for any of the four most obvious possibilities, -poet to reader, urn to reader, poet to urn, poet to figures on the urn. The issue is further confused by the change in quotation marks between the original manuscript copy of the ode and the 1820 published edition. (This issue is further discussed at the bottom of this page.)

You can view part of the earliest known manuscript at this website. Please note that it is a transcription in George Keats's handwriting; Keats's original manuscript / first draft is lost.

Final Stanza
O Attic shape! Fair attitude! with brede
Of marble men and maidens overwrought, With forest branches and the trodden weed; Thou, silent form, dost tease us out of thought As doth eternity: Cold Pastoral!
When old age shall this generation waste,
Thou shalt remain, in midst of other woe
Than ours, a friend to man, to whom thou say'st,
"Beauty is truth, truth beauty," - that is all
Ye know on earth, and all ye need to know.

Article on party switch by Gov Chris Christie to Democrat:

BREAKING: NJ Chris Christie Changing Party Affiliation to Democrat

I don't how credible this article is, but someone thought that Gov Chris Christie switched parties.

It makes sense, as the DOJ was going after Gov Chris Christie over the Bridge Scandal, and certainly Obama will not go after a Democrat...

I guess I fell for it. It came from Rand Paul Review site.

But I think the DOJ is still possibly investigating Chris Christie for the Bridge scandal...

When I heard this on Fox this morning, the term “Barbara Streisand” leaped to mind. This is a BS poll designed to make the unwashed masses “think” this band of merry RINOs are the leaders. Sorry, I don’t buy this crap.

I have no doubt this is the nomenklatura’s preferred lineup, with Paul and Christie as scripted palookas.

Hope Bush Ryan Christie all stay in the race until the end.

I hope conservatives hold a convention to pick a candidate before the first all candidate debates and not divide up the conservative vote in a half dozen ways diluting the conservatives chance of getting nominated.

Doesn’t matter to me if its Christie Bush or Ryan, all want what Rubio and McCain want, and that is bad of America

What about Scott Walker of Wisconsin for President? He seems to have performed well at the State level, has no bad baggage known to me. He handled leftist attacks effectively. The thoughts of FR people would be appreciated.(P.S. I’m not a Wisconsin resident.)
