The question is, how much of Ukraine will be left to join the EU?

Ukraine is a mess politically, financially, and in just about every other way imaginable. They don’t appear willing or capable of standing up for themselves. What good does EU membership do them?

"The question is, how much of Ukraine will be left to join the EU?"

Choices for the Russians:

1. Invade Ukraine, enjoy a nukefest in the near future and meet soldiers of many other countries in person. In that situation, Russia would be quickly occupied. Not the case for the U.S.A. Russia doesn't have the equipment or training.

2. Back off, and let Ukraine make it's choice to join the E.U.

Such matters are not as they seem to lifelong civilians and personnel not really specializing in combat. Chances of nuclear exchanges have been going way up--not down. We could hit 'em with nukes faster than they can imagine and knock almost all of their out of the sky.

So what do U.S. civilians in or around big cities want--nuclear exchanges and cheap, imported junk rifles and worthless ammo or neither? Get American-made firearms and ammunition or least something made by allies.

“What good does EU membership do anyone???”

1) Provide the EU with cheap Ukrainian labor, because the formerly cheap Poles are returning home to an improved economy.

2) opens up the drug routes to Western Europe, so the bankers can openly launder the profits of the Ukrainian mafias.

Question: What happens to the pipelines running from Russia, through the Ukraine, to the EU?
