EXCLUSIVE: Sarah Palin: Vladimir Putin a 'Silly Little Man'
Breitbart.com/Big-Government ^ | 4-17-2014 | Charlie Spiering

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin fired back against Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday calling him a "silly little man" after he said that he was not interested in invading Alaska.

Putin downplayed the value of Alaska during a question-and-answer session in Moscow today, pointing out that it was a cold northern territory.

“What would you need Alaska for?” he said, advising Russians "not be overenthusiastic” about the state.

“Mr. Putin, such a silly little man on this matter of invading Alaska,” Palin said in a written statement to Breitbart News, pointing out that it was obvious that Russia got “screwed” after selling the land to the United States in 1867 for $7.2 million.

“Sure, in hindsight your czars of old may have felt you got screwed in the deal when Abraham Lincoln’s Secretary of State scored on this enormously resource-rich land for just seven cents an acre, but that’s water under the former land bridge,” she said

Oh, snap! Vlad’s got a huge ego, will probably be a little miffed if he hears this.

He’s got to have more respect for Sarah than for Zero, Biden, or Kerry.

“that’s water under the former land bridge,” she said”

lol...

The Media STILL can’t admit that she had Putin pegged all along, while Obama got it wrong.

They might get kicked out of the gay bar if they dared admit that.

Putin probably has more respect for Sarah Palin than he would ever have for Obama..he knows that with Obama, he owns his ass..he can do whatever he wants without consequences because he knows Obama is much more interested in destroying America than he is dealing with Russia

It was called Seward's folly in my day.

It would be a great state....if the Feds kept their nose out of it...(Like most states).

So many assets.....

I agree he’s got to respect her more than zero, et. al. Putin and Sarah both love their countries - as opposed to zero.

However, pretty sure I wouldn’t have retorted to his comment about Alaska the way she did. I think Putin is more dangerous than silly.

I agree, and I expect Sarah does, too. This is a calculated insult on a non-issue. That's what makes it smart.

Both Putin and Palin answer these questions with some wit and humor. I suspect they’d both be happier discussing stuff with each other than with Obama, who possesses neither wit nor humor.

“he can do whatever he wants without consequences because he knows Obama is much more interested in destroying America than he is dealing with Russia”

The Radical Academic Socialists in the White House don’t understand Putin, and Russia for that matter, because to them, all “core beliefs” are fungible to political expediency.

To people like Sarah, and Putin, they are not.

Well, he was Secretary of State under Lincoln. Palin was right to use Lincoln’s name rather than that of an impeached prez. She could also have called him the Governor of New York.

I could totally see Russians emigrating to Alaska. They decide to start over in a new land, take tremendous risks to leave their old home... and settle in a place that is just as cold and miserable as the one they left.

Putin is probably chuckling over the comment. His original comment was in jest and so was Sarah’s retort. It’s the sort of exchange I’d have expected if Reagan were President.

Actually it was Lincoln's Secretary of State. Read your history and you will find that Johnson hands were tied by the Tenure of Office Act. When he tried to fire his Secretary of War, Stanton, he was impeached. The fact that there was no VP and the next in line was totally unacceptable to a majority of Senators led to him surviving by a single vote.

Alaska was purchased when Johnson was President but Seward was definitely Abe's guy.

Andrew Johnson became president in 1865. The Tenure of Office Act was passed in 1867.

The beauty of being an American, speaking your mind, and having the American press parrot that thought, to the red ringing ears of one Vladimir Putin, who can do nothing to silence her!
