Top Socialist Economist Says He’s Been Working With Democrats & Obama “For A Long Time”

Have you ever wondered why the Obama Administration’s plans for improving the U.S. economy always seem to fall flat? It just might have something to do with the fact that the Obama Administration has been working with someone who doesn’t like capitalism.

According to an article on France24.com, a well known economist who isn’t fond of capitalism, but promotes Socialism, has been working with the Democrats and the Obama Administration “for a long time”:

In his latest book, French economist Thomas Piketty warns that modern-day capitalism leads to unsustainable levels of inequality. While he is often linked to France’s Socialist Party, his writings have made him unusually popular in the US.

Thomas Piketty’s “Capital in the Twenty-First Century” has only just been translated into English – several weeks ahead of schedule, due to popular demand – and the New York Times’s star columnist Paul Krugman has already described it as “the most important economics book of the year — and maybe of the decade”.

The French economist’s current US book tour is turning into something of a red carpet event. So far this week, he has met the White House’s Council of Economic Advisors as well as Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew.

“The Democratic Party, especially the Obama administration, has been in contact with us and using our findings for a long time,” Piketty told AFP in Washington.

Well, we all knew Obama was a socialist since he was elected.

Remember Joe the Plumber?

Now we know he’s been getting advice from international socialists.

What a shock.

...and so, the age of arrogant ignorance continues. May we survive the savagery to come, and pass.

How can an economist not see the down side of socialism?

"In his latest book, French economist Thomas Piketty warns that modern-day capitalism leads to unsustainable levels of inequality."

Obama's policies have resulted in greater inequality.

Full employment reduces inequality, because it creates upward wage pressure.

The economist must work for our enemies because all of his recommendations seem to be derived from Cloward-Piven principles because they are destroying us better than any foreign military ever could

Never heard of this particular frog, but it doesn’t surprise me since such luminaries as Pol Pot made their grand plans while in Paris.

Obama did say he’s aware tax decreases would produce more revenue to the govt but what’s more important is spreading Fairness above all.

In his latest book, French economist Thomas Piketty warns that modern-day capitalism leads to unsustainable levels of inequality.

We have capitalism today? Really? Banking is controlled by the FED and its member banks, with TARP and QE the order of the day. Over 50% of medical expenditures are made by government. Government controls housing and real-estate loans. Government regulations control energy, agriculture, education and a host of other sectors of the economy. In Europe, most economies government expenditure is >50% of GDP.

And this clown wants to blame "Capitalism" for inequality????

You are correct in that we are fooling ourselves if we think this is a level playing field free-market economy. The first part about getting help is admitting the problem.

The action-proven purpose of the US Obama Federal Government is to destroy all private enterprises, and then confiscate all that the all-talk-and-no-action, doormat Republicans in Congress will allow them to.

Feudal Lord Reid and his Outlaw Rustler Gang recent raid on Nevada Rancher Bundy’s Ranch have made that transparently clear, beyond a “smidgen” of doubt!

BTW, what has the US Federal Government ever confiscated, Nationalized or otherwise controlled that has ever made a profit?

BTW, BTW, how much more Permanent Debt, confiscation, Nationalization and otherwise control does the Obama Federal Government have to do to qualify the United States of America as an Official Third World Country?

There is absolutely nothing unsustainable about inequality.

What is unsustainable is tyranny.
