Democrats Told "Don't Mention 'Economic Recovery' - It's A Political Loser"

Democratic strategists have made a blunt declaration in an election-year memo, according to AP, "Don't talk about the economic recovery. It's a political loser." Stan Greenberg, James Carville and others wrote that in head-to-head polling tests the mere mention of the word "recovery" is trumped by a Republican assertion that the Obama administration has had six years to get the economy moving and its policies haven't worked. But, but, but... stocks are at all-time highs?

As AP reports, Election-year memo to Democratic candidates: Don't talk about the economic recovery. It's a political loser.

"As a start, Democrats should bury any mention of the recovery. That message was tested ... and it lost to the Republican message championed by Karl Rove," they wrote.

So say Democratic strategists in a blunt declaration that such talk skips over "how much trouble people are in, and doesn't convince them that policymakers really understand or are even focusing on the problems they continue to face."

In addition, Stan Greenberg, James Carville and others wrote that in head-to-head polling tests the mere mention of the word "recovery" is trumped by a Republican assertion that the Obama administration has had six years to get the economy moving and its policies haven't worked.

Coincidentally or not, Democrats have largely shelved the "R" word.

We, as DemocRATS don’t want truth or reality; we want you to do WHATEVER it takes to gain political influence and power. Sell your own mother into sex slavery if need be; deceive the ‘masses of the unwashed’; lie through your teeth to your constituents; and for the ‘party’s sake’ (certainly not ‘goodness sake’), never , ever, ever, tell them the truth or about the schemes we DEMONrats have in store for them.

But it IS an economic recovery for the criminals,
illegals, DNC, unions, and the hated EXEMPT
who make “laws” for others and not themselves.

The EXEMPT are now more hated than King George was.

So I guess that we can expect the War on Women to continue? Along with that, I suppose the race baiting will intensify? You can also bet all the liberals and their media allies will be trashing Emmanuel Goldstein the Koch Brothers to stoke class warfare.

The question is, will these tactics work again?

ANY positive claims at all and people start laughing. The man is a serial liar of the highest magnitude and is not “one of them”. He’s never lived under harsh conditions or as a black man with the exception of his skin color. He’s even lying to them about that. One of his classmates said she knew him as Barry Soetero and that he was a serial liar back in high school. Now he’s Barrack Hussein Obama which I would guess is his new Islamic name. Anyone who believes he is working for The American People needs to stop snorting lines and give up their crack pipes.

What else can the “mention” since the media only hypes Obamacare and economic recovery. The media is almost playing a negative role for them.

I suspect John Boehner and Mitch McConnell will also follow this advice and avoid mentioning the recovery if it hurts incumbents. We need to mention that the recovery we have seen over the last six years is what big government insiders can do for us.

Not mentioning ‘economic recovery’ is just code for the “lets elect, in 2016 , ‘she who must not be named’”.

It is going to be more of the same. "War on women", "Raycees", "contraception", "lady parts" blah, blah, blah...

They won't talk about the things that people are worried about- jobs, economic security, soaring food prices, loss of rights e.t.c.

The compliant GOP, other than a few lone voices, will follow their script. An ideological, co-opted media machine, that has lost all its integrity, will not highlight the problems people are facing.

I know a few liberal people. They are such blind fools. They are unable to move out of their zombie-trance love of DIMocRATs...and get upset if facts confront their worship.

I think what saved Bill Clinton in the 1990’s was the very fact that the public Internet took off in the 1990’s, especially with the release of Windows 95 (which was the first version of Windows that allowed easy access to the Internet “out of the box”). Alas, “She who must not be named” can’t use that legacy, and in fact the Benghazi debacle and her age could be come real issues in 2016.
