POTOSI, Mo. – A Missouri school district and high school principal have affirmed a student’s right to bring her Bible to school and discuss religion with friends after a teacher allegedly forbid her from doing so.
Angela English told reporters this week that her 15-year-old daughter Kiela called her on Wednesday, explaining that as she discussed a Bible passage with a friend in the hallway, she was confronted by a teacher who issued her a warning.
“Her friend had her Bible out and both of them were reading a passage in their heads and were talking back-and-forth about the reading,” she told the Daily Journal. “A teacher called them over and told them that they had to put it away—that this wasn’t the place—that they can’t be pushing their religion on people.”
But English said that her daughter was not “pushing religion” as she was only discussing Scripture privately with a friend.
“I was outraged,” she stated. “I can understand them saying something if she was preaching or if she were reading at an inappropriate time. But just for two girls simply walking down the hallway? That’s ridiculous. There’s so many other things they could be looking for, but they targeted two girls with their Bibles.”
English expressed her frustration on Facebook, and urged other students to take their Bibles to school the following day as a form of “protest” against the teacher’s actions.
“We’ve asked the children to bring the Bibles and carry it, not preach and shove religion in their face but to show they have the right to carry the Bible,” she told KMOV-TV.

We know the name of the student, and of the family.
What is the name of the teacher?
You know they’ll protect the teacher.

This passage from the bible denotes the extreme reaction that the mention of God or of the name of Jesus has upon certain elements of society. We see it more and more. It is to the extreme now that we are accused of proselytizing by merely mentioning the name of Jesus. They hate the name of JESUS. Such a reaction must indicate a particular animosity to the Son of God.
Personally, I think their problem is the they are either Satan worshippers - or - they have drifted so far away from any Christian principles that they can no longer comprehend the meaning of their hostility [which is in some cases, a lazy, PC type of attitude rather than being overtly anti-Christian]. The latter types do need their eyes opened. We must pray for these people. They are the types who would have yelled ‘crucify him’ during the time of the passion of Jesus Christ. Go along with the crowd without an independent thought in their heads.
In Catholic School, we could not talk in the hallway. We had to take it either into the classroom or somewhere else. Of course we could talk Bible all day long with no problems. Of course, we could get in trouble for talking depending on where we were. For example, we could not talk Bible in study hall with out people, but we could easily read the Bible ourselves.
Ben, I really wonder about that. If Muslims suddenly threw down a carpet in the middle of the hallway, do you really believe that the school would really allow that? I find that hard to believe. I mean if for no other reason that it would be a safety issue.
Hard to believe my teachers in elementary school started out the day reading the Bible to us and praying.
Satan worshippers. Actually, Satan worshippers who think they are clever by distinguishing between Satan and Lucifer. You’d be amazed hour many people are involved in secret societies that practice witchcraft. The only thing such practices actually create, however, are sadistic, codependent cowards with monumental egos. At creating and marinading that, these secret societies work very well.
At anything else, they’re exactly what you’d expect from a bunch of backstabbing hags and bitches playing dress-up and competing for gold stars - i.e. constant screwup, incredible waste, and pathetic levels of OCD paranoia. In other words, Hilary’s Narcissistic Army.
I remember when catholic and protestant followers didn’t like each other much but the assault on Christian values seems to change that. So at least some good has come from it. Also I notice young people sometimes use Christianity to rebel the more the establishment demonizes it.
I went to a little one room school in Kansas a long time ago. Our school day began with saying the pledge to the American flag, the singing of the Star Spangled Banner and the saying of the Lord’s Prayer. We also had a group prayer led by a student before everyone ate lunch together.
My parents had already read some verses out of the Bible and prayed at home with us at our family breakfast before I left for school, a practice I continued when I had children and which my son does with his family now.
But unfortunately for the majority of Americans prayer and the Bible is not a part of their life, either at home or at school.
Am going through my stash of books and just found this one this morning. “One Nation Under God - America’s Christian Heritage” a 1997 publication of the Christian Defense Fund.
Gives quotes by Founding Fathers, Presidents, Supreme Court, etc.
In his diary entry dated February 22, 1756, John Adams wrote
“Suppose a nation in some distant region should take the Bible for their only law book, and every member should regulate his conduct by the precepts there exhibited! Every member would be obliged in conscience, to temperance, frugality, and industry; to justice, kindness, and charity towards his fellow men; and to piety, love and reverence toward Almighty God . . . What a Utopia, what a Paradise would this region be.”
Too bad we didn’t follow his advice!
I remember a cartoon from a very long time ago, with two aging hippies and a boy wearing a three-piece suit; the caption was something like, "Oh no, he's become a Presbyterian!"
Someday soon, the only way teens will be able to rebel is to become conservative in politics and/or theology.
And can we please get this bigot fired?

The PUBLIC SCHOOL that MY KIDS go to would NEVER dream of doing something so evil, why I even see the principal once in a while at Walmart - he’s human.

There IS a huge difference between a couple of little girls discussing the Bible between themselves and Pakistani Muslims kidnapping little girls, raping and torturing them, and forcing them to convert to Islam and then manipulating the legal system to say these girls converted voluntarily when their parents try desperately to get their children back.
Do you see the difference? Or do you think it is dangerous for these little girls to have a Bible in public school? Please clarify your point.
FIRST AMENDMENT ACTUALLY READS: CONGRESS shall make no law respecting an establishment of RELIGION, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;
Start educating your friends and family! The restriction is on the congresscritters NOT on the people who practice their religion in their towns and cities across America! There is NO - ZERO - NADA mention of church in the first amendment! People need to stop spreading the lie of the century and start following the Constitution. Congress and the lawmakers have imposed THEIR secular humanist religion upon our nation!
That means that “respecting” in the 1st Amendment means, “having to do with”.
In other words, Congress is forbidden to pass any law that has anything to do with, “an establishment of RELIGION, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;”.
Any law Congress passes having anything to do with those things is null and void. Any law that is interpreted in a way that has anything to do with those things is null and void.
Therefore, any such law becomes a tool for a government display of power, in order to hide its actual toothlessness.
Thank you! If we spread the word especially to anyone with children in the public indoctrination centers maybe they can have some ammo when they are confronted by those who are less informed!
