A Trojan Horse on amnesty in the defense bill?
Hot Air ^ | April 19,2014 | JAZZ SHAW

Because it’s a Trojan Horse — if it’s included in the must-pass defense authorization bill when it’s sent to the Senate, Harry Reid can expand it into a larger amnesty confident in the knowledge that it would have to be passed. I’ve been told by a Republican House member that the Democrat (and, presumably, “hellbent” House leadership) plan is to add the entire DREAM Act to the defense bill once it gets to the Senate

Here’s the article where the American Legion comes out against this policy. It’s fairly obvious that the Legion’s leadership isn’t trying to step on the fingers of anyone who serves, but simply wants to keep the two issues each in their own space.

“The NDAA needs to stand alone, and I think attaching an issue as contentious and complex as immigration and recruitment policy would only stall the NDAA,” said John Stovall, director of the American Legion’s national security division. “Immigration policy needs to be debated on its own outside the debate of NDAA.”

It has to come back to the House in a conference committee with House and Senate Representatives to recommend yay or nay on the amendments.

Hold your REPS to the fire. Threaten holy hell on them if they let this pass.

It’s official, we now have a one party system of government.

That WAS Pelosi, which I guess she could technically do. I certainly hope the crying baby Boehner would never try this.

BUT! It is certainly possible. My guess, though, is that if one were ever privy to the inner workings of the House Gym, there wouldn’t be a laundry basket for jock straps.

Self - starving or self - deportation?

Either way, continued strong US Citizen hostility toward Illegal Alien Invaders from Mexico is “working,” to use an Obama phrase.

Our US jobless rate would go to zero when the last Illegal Alien Invader from Mexico AND their children return to Mexico.

The only Border “Reform” that needs to be done is to force Federal Politicians in “both” political parties to strictly enforce EXISTING Federal Border Laws.

It has been official for some time now.

Some people just refuse to recognize that there are two classes in this country.

The Rulers and the Ruled.

That is all.

An open letter to the GOP Members of Congress

As a Representative or Senator in Congress, you took this Oath:

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God."

"Support and defend the Constitution" it says. Did you see that? That document requires, per Art.4, S.4, that

"The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence."

An invasion is what we are suffering. That invasion has accelerated with each "comprehensive immigration reform" previously enacted. Instead of another disastrous reform that yet again increases the incentives for millions more to try their luck crossing the southern border, a Representative who took his Oath and the Constitution seriously would be pressing for what the American people have repeatedly said they want - not what Senators Schumer and McCain, Mark Zuckerberg, Mexico, some border state farmers and homebuilders or the Chamber of Commerce rent-seekers want. That is:
  1. secure the border in a transparently verifiable way;
  2. end the anchor-baby interpretation of the 14th Amendment;
  3. enforce eVerify without exception and with severe penalties;
  4. no government benefits beyond critical emergency care (and that ought to be billed back to the home government); and
  5. NO "Path to Citizenship" - EVER - for anyone who has entered the US illegally.
Any bill that does not accomplish these five things is unacceptable. It is de facto amnesty. And it will inevitably encourage millions more illegal entries.

If the GOP is complicit in this amnesty fiasco, either by taking up the Senate bill or through some piecemeal slight of hand with a series of House bills such as we hear are being cooked up of late, or as riders on other necessary legislation, the GOP will cease to exist. It will not survive through the 2016 elections. The people will shun the over-tanned, glad-handing, backslapping quislings and look elsewhere for leaders who actually have the spine for the fight. Make no mistake - to me and to many, many others, amnesty is the GOP's Rubicon. Cross it at your electoral peril.

Trojan....hem....well, I guess you’re right. Had the parents of either had actually availed themselves of a “Trojan” or equivalent, we wouldn’t be faced with this treachery now. :o)

Well, crap. I'm glad your clarified that for all of us.

I had though this country was built on the demographics and motives of those that populated this country during the colonial era. But screw history and facts, right?

If what you say is true, there is no need for borders. Open them up! Let everyone in. What could go wrong besides a total erasure of American thought? Let's ;all embrace Mexican thought and jurisprudence. Or Islamic. Whatever.

“Your papers please” were not words I was raised to embrace. And the Berlin wall would not have been any better if it was built by the other side.

There are many conservatives and republicans who do not hate our latin american brothers. Who actually believe that the principles of democracy still apply. That indeed “all men are created equal” is still true. And that all men are endowed with unalieanble rights. That truth will prevail in the end and democracy will express the will of all people in a good way.

We don’t need to go round deciding who is the slave class and who is the citizen class based on race or any other factor. That type of approach is exactly what we sought to banish when we formed this nation.

Because we have collectively abandoned any reasonable policy of maintaining our sovereignty, "papers please" isn't a bad temporary policy in order to rid ourselves of the imbalance of ILLEGALS.

My hispanic wife if of the same accord. And she was a consular officer.
