I wouldn’t be thrilled either.

I’d pretty much tell them to just mail me my diploma, because really, who the Hell cares what this creature has to say about anything?

I would say explicitly disinvite her, but Mom Jeans’d probably nuke Kansas. Just a bunch of bitter clingers whose votes don’t count anymore anyway.

Graduation is a day about the students. If the first lady or another big celebrity attends, it becomes more about the celebrity. Keep it focused on the students.

Graduates in years past have not been subjected to a ticket limit and were free to bring unlimited friends and family members to the ceremony. While no formal ticket limit has been set, families were advised last week to plan on receiving four tickets.

Looking back at my graduations, I had six or seven family members present. I can't imagine having to exclude some of them because Michelle Obama wanted to have "a moment". The family members come to see their loved one, not listen to predictable drivel from the wife of a dictator. Haven't these taxpayers sacrificed enough for her whims?

INGRATES! Don’t they realize how special they are to have this most magnificent of all graduation speakers?

If the school district doesn’t back off (unlikely), maybe the individual schools should do what so many large universities do, i.e., have one central grad ceremony, then go back to their own school and hold their own ceremony with their own audiences and their own traditions.

Could be interesting. She and the other people on the stage will expect everyone to stand and applaud when she gets up to speak and when she finishes. I bet that there will be a lot of people who don’t stand up or clap. I was at the Symphony on the Prairie the last time that then Gov. Sebilius was there. Only about 15% of the audience stood up. It was also memorable because I got to meet and shake hands with then Senator Brownbeck and tell him I looked forward to him introducing the symphony the following year.

The district has done a terrible disservice to the students and their relatives with this invitation.

I agree with the idea of having the Wookie speak at a separate function.

You can rest assured that everyone who complains or signs the petition will be publicly labeled a racist.

No US flags, eat your broccoli, I’ve never been proud of this country, life dealt me, Michelle Obama, a lousy hand, let me shake my fat azz a little, racists under my bed, love my `husband,’ Are you gonna eat that,
blah blah blah.
We know why the Jayhawks/Wildcats/Shockers don’t want her. Her reputation precedes her and her worn-out act blows goats. Let them enjoy their graduation. Give it a rest. Leave those kids alone Chewbacca, it’s not all about you.

The only reason Moochelle is going to Kansas is to race-bait the anniversary of Brown vs. Board of Education. No other reason.

This is way more than just limited seating.

As with all royal visits, the Secret Service will need the names of EVERY person attending, in advance. Everyone will be wand & frisked, causing long, hot delays standing in the security line. Parking will be restricted. Traffic will be a nightmare. The Media will cause even more chaos. It will be a very unpleasant circus.

All to accommodate the “Queen”.

They can’t cancel her now.

She left yesterday, driving her electric car.

Seeing as her weight etc, factors in, it will take about 5 weeks to drive the 1150 or so miles from DC to KS.
