Franklin Graham: Putin is right to protect children by banning homosexual propaganda
The Right Scoop ^ | Mar 14 2014 | The Right Scoop

Posted on 04/19/2014 5:20:09 PM PDT by WilliamIII

Franklin Graham has taken what many will see as a ‘controversial’ stand, one that praises Putin for passing a law that protects children in Russia by penalizing those caught propagandizing children with homosexuality or pedophilia, while on the other hand criticizing our own president and his administration for pushing the gay-lesbian agenda in America which is contrary to God’s teaching.

There is nothing controversial about Putin passing these laws.

The same should be done here. Unfortunately we are a nation in decadence and in the constant grip of fear.

Graham lacks discernment and, therefore, does not bother to learn anything about the people he is praising. In the Russian military, for example, young looking recruits are raped by their officers as part of their hazing, which is protected by the regime. And this is only the beginning of horrors in that country.

Graham, I think, is nothing but a clown, and I have been convinced of this since he scrubbed from his website references to Mormonism as a religious cult when he decided to endorse Mitt Romney. He is a fool and a traitor to principles, and what greater traitor is there than one who betrays his own God for political purposes?

Russia’s opposition to gay adoptions is, IMO, one of the reasons there’s so much anti-Russian messaging in the US media and political class right now. US establishment has bought into gay rights, and Russia’s embrace of the traditional Christian position on family issues is infuriating our elites.

This is loser talk. The American church, all branches of it, has failed to convert the culture. They are losing the culture war because hundreds of thousands of preachers will not preach the full word of God. As a result, hundreds of millions of “Christians” fail to live a Godly life and fail to disciple their children.

Also pure idiocy, if the majority of Americans support same sex marriage, and you want to give that majority the power to regulate morality, what kind of morality do you think they will enforce? We will end up with Canada style anti-hate laws.

Judging by your intemperate remarks about Graham, the article is right that his comments would expose him to controversy - or, in your case, hatred.

Whatever goes on in the Russian military, the Russian parliament has banned gay adoption. That’s a fact, Jack. A lot of the US establishment has gone ballistic in response.

Why wouldn’t Graham support Romney, if only to block a win by Obama?

Exactly what we need from leaders of the Faith.

Bravo to you, Franklin. You’re certainly a chip of the old block - you’ve learned well from your father.

"According to the UN International Panel for Struggle against Sexual Exploitation, the Russian army is plagued with male prostitution. A small amount of money is enough to find a Russian soldier-prostitute in the center of Moscow.

Servicemen may become male prostitutes in the Russian army for various reasons. There are young men who voluntarily offer sexual favors to their homosexual clients; others are forced into prostitution against their own will. Newcomers, especially those who finished higher schools before joining the army, suffer from sexual harassment more often than others. Brave soldiers try to protect their honor and rights, although there is no one to help them: commanders and military officials may often be involved in the sex business too.

“When I was standing on duty, two bullies came up to me and shoved me into the stockroom, a soldier serving at one of Moscow’s military units recollects. "They raped me there in turn. It was very painful and revolting. It didn’t take them much time to finish, but the next day I started noticing other soldiers giving me strange looks. I instantly realized that those bastards let everyone know what they had done to me. An officer came up to me one day and said to me point-blank: “Tomorrow you will to serve two clients.” I knew that if I said “no” then I would spend my last days spitting blood. But still, I told him “no.” When the officer heard that, he pulled out pictures of me being raped in the stockroom. “If you don’t serve the clients, you mother will see these pictures,” said he. I was forced into prostitution,” the soldier said."

http://english.pravda.ru/society/stories/15-02-2007/87441-army_prostitute-0/ "Dedovshchina has existed for years as a tacitly sanctioned system of instilling "discipline" that routinely results in human rights abuses such as extortion, forced labor, beatings, and starvation... On Dec 31, 2005, the then- 19-year-old Mr. Sychev was subjected to a brutal night of torture. At the direction of his commanding sergeant, he was tied to a chair and beaten on his legs for more than four hours by fellow conscripts. Although he was unable to stand following the ordeal, he received no medical attention. By the time he was finally taken to a hospital four days later, he had to undergo several amputations. In the vast majority of instances, dedovshchina goes unreported. But in Sychev's case, an anonymous doctor contacted the Committee of Soldiers' Mothers: a private organization devoted to exposing human rights violations within the Russian Army. The Soldiers' Mothers mounted a vocal public campaign to bring Sychev's torturers to justice. Even so, during the course of the ensuing trial, Federal Security Service agents attempted to bribe Sychev's family members, offering them a choice of $100,000 or an apartment to drop the case. In a telling case of Putin-era irony, the reporter who broke the story involving the attempted bribe was the subsequently murdered Ms. Politkovskaya... Amazingly, Sychev's case is hardly unique. Earlier in 2005 in the far eastern city of Khabarovsk, Evgenii Koblov was likewise forced to undergo the amputation of his legs following a brutal beating inflicted by fellow soldiers... Young Russians are understandably unwilling to enlist voluntarily when the odds are good that they will end up beaten, starved, raped, or mutilated as a result."

He wrote:

“Isn’t it sad, though, that America’s own morality has fallen so far that on this issue—protecting children from any homosexual agenda or propaganda—Russia’s standard is higher than our own?

In my opinion, Putin is right on these issues. Obviously, he may be wrong about many things, but he has taken a stand to protect his nation’s children from the damaging effects of any gay and lesbian agenda.

Our president and his attorney general have turned their backs on God and His standards, and many in the Congress are following the administration’s lead. This is shameful...

...The world used to look to America for moral leadership. But those days are long gone.

Today, we’ve abdicated our moral leadership. We defeated communism, only to relax and see secularism and progressives take over our country. Secularism is as godless as communism. Secularists and progressives have taken over our schools, media, and local and federal government. And it has all happened in the twinkling of an eye.

But the Bible makes it clear that one day, “all nations will be gathered before [God]” (Matthew 25:34) for judgment, and that “at the name of Jesus every knee should bow” (Philippians 2:10). Now is the time to repent of sin and place our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. “

Where is he wrong?

Intemperate? A ridiculous word to use. Is Graham a Catholic saint of some sort, or the chief soviet, whom we must always speak to with respect? Respect is earned, and when one betrays Christian principles for politics, one does not earn respect, nor can we really call them Christian.

“when one betrays Christian principles for politics”

Hey, the “politic” thing to do would have been to join in everybody’s anti-Putin messaging. Graham has exposed himself to criticism from across the political spectrum by not doing the politic thing. He saw that Russia is taking a more Christian position on gay adoptions and protection of children, and he was courageous enough to say so.

Nice pix,of Sara and Billy Grahams son. Looks a like the old man. Instead of backing Putin on his “rightious positions” including pornography. If Graham really wanted to say somethimg he could comment about the resolution removing any reference to God in their platform which was passed then because it was too political rammmed the change through and was jeered at the democrat nation convention. Then when it occured or even now. I have yet to hear any comment from leading churchmen of any Christian demomination and that especially includes Catholic even dare reference it. Let alone GOPES that are currently running it.

The Wisconsin GOP are getting blasted because there’s a reference to secession in their platform. Think any of the “brains” would counter with that ? NAC!

There are several factors involved and that is one of them. The biggest factor is probably that the rulers of Russia have taken a hard look at the ongoing suicide of the West and determined that Russia is not going to participate. This may in fact be the biggest factor in the tidal wave of propaganda and disinformation which the West is subjected to regarding Russia and Vladimir Putin, and in the policies of our state department. The bankers who run the West hope to prevent the calamity which they are facing by bail-ins and austerity programs and that, combined with the Malthusian and greentard policies of our governments figure to produce a world of major grief for the West over the coming decades.

Those people can ill afford the alternative example of a prosperous and happy version of reality in the BRIC nations for everybody on the planet to see on television and the internet.

Hey, the “politic” thing to do would have been to join in everybody’s anti-Putin messaging.

Anti-Putin? The problem in Russia is the hidden soviet structures that were not dismantled. Putin is only the visible manifestation for a power structure we are unaware of, as attested to by FSB/KGB dissidents and defectors. This new Russia is the same as the old one, although, the occult plays prominently within the society at large, even to the very highest levels, complete with Russian generals, intellectuals and politicians indulging in Nazi-like ethnic theories, Slavic-shamanism, and other bizarre beliefs, which certainly have not done Russia well, considering it has the highest abortion rate of Europe. This idea that Russia is in any way "Christian" is simply a falling for their active measures aimed at right wing movements across the world. In reality, the ROC is itself an arm of the Kremlin, and all these moves are as cynical as Russia's actions in Ukraine. They are aimed to distort reality from what is really going on in Russia, which is far from Christian, but more horrific than any of you seem to be aware of.

Graham, therefore, reveals himself as a dupe, in the same way he tried to dupe us on Romney.

Graham is more of a Pelagian than he is a Christian, hence his inability to blush for scrubbing his website of material connecting Mormonism with the adjective "cult," prior to coming out and supporting Mitt Romney. It is a sad day when Christians excuse such behavior and allow such as these a place in the sun, when, really, like any Pharisee who supposes to preach God, he should be driven into the darkness where he belongs. The wolves are a cancer to the Body.
