AUSTIN Democratic gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis legal work for a taxpayer-funded tollway agency is part of a larger FBI-led investigation into the tollway group, according to a published report Friday.
The Dallas Morning News used a freedom of information request to learn of the investigation, and then confirmed it with Elizabeth Winn, an assistant Travis County attorney. The FBI hasnt responded to the newspapers request for comment.
The investigation stems from a conflict of interest complaint filed in 2012 by former state Rep. Mark Shelton, a Republican who ran against Davis for her Fort Worth state senate seat. In the complaint, Shelton says Davis was voting on toll legislation while her firm represented North Texas Tollway Authority.

Are they trying to force her from the ticket?

Editorial: Greg Abbott takes poll position
Willie Nelson's already sketchy reputation has been utterly destroyed because of his support for Abortion Barbie.
As you well know, that almost never happens with ‘rats.
Anyone else noticing all the FBI investigations into dems lately?
Toll roads are not only un-Texan their also un-American.
This is the new standard Democrat MO. The Feds (under Atty General Holder) declare an investigation is under way and no questions can be answered until the investigation is complete. The investigation is never completed and the key parties are never questioned. The media then willfully ignores the scandal using the "ongoing investigation" as a smoke screen. The scandal dies of neglect.
Were it not for the alternative media there would never be another word said.
