CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. Space station astronauts got a special Easter treat: a cargo ship full of supplies.
The shipment arrived Sunday morning via a Dragon, versus a bunny.
"Gentlemen, the Easter Dragon is knocking at the door," NASA's Mission Control said as the capsule was bolted into place.
The SpaceX company's cargo ship, Dragon, spent two days chasing the International Space Station following its launch from Cape Canaveral. Astronauts used a robot arm to capture the capsule 260 miles above Egypt.
More than 2 tons of food, spacewalking gear and experiments fill the Dragon, including mating fruit flies, a little veggie hothouse and legs for the resident robot. NASA also packed family care packages for the six spacemen.

“...mating fruit flies...”
Good grief! Are the evolution hucksters still flogging THAT dead horse?!
I think there is some new anti-gravity angle sought to be explored.
That would be nice.
I remember taking ice cream to some of my hillbilly friends that lived on the Coast Ridge above Gorda (South Coat Big Sur).
They looked at me like I was some sort of demi-god.
I wonder if that isn’t what I saw in sky last night. I noticed a bright object crossing the sky, and not far behind it, a smaller object tracing after it.
I guess you could look it up (in that the ISS is a well tracked object) just to see if the track would match up to time and place well enough to be some possibility. Though I admit I don't have any web addresses handy.
Most of the best ISS visual sightings occur sometime not too long after local area sundown I take it.
Now the space station is receiving supplies other than from strictly NASA or some other nation's space program. This is the fourth station delivery for SpaceX, according to the article.
My understanding is that they load the on-board freezer on the Falcon up with ice cream bars if there is room. And I guess if they are carrying the freezer. I don’t know if it’s a built-in or a plug-and-play.

After getting out of the earth's atmosphere, they could just hold the ice cream bars out a window.
I live quite a bit north of that....but I bet that’s what it was.
Thank you. :)
IF we irradiate mating fruit flies in zero-g, will that increase the percentage of gay fruit flies? (happy homo angle)
or
IF we irradiate mating fruit flies in zero-g, how many will convert to Islam and attempt to blow up the space station by flying into it? (muslim outreach angle)
