But Seriously, Just How Slow-Witted is John Boehner?
American Thinker ^ | April 21, 2014 | C. Edmund Wright

Posted on 04/21/2014 1:49:00 AM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

As he moves from lobbyists to the golf course, from press conferences to the tanning bed, he remains oblivious to all that is around him. He has power, incredible power, and yet to this day he has no understanding of the election that made it so. Moreover, all around him are astonishing opportunities for him to be an historic figure -- one who could and should be the man who did more than any other single person in turning back the red tide of Obama. It’s all there for Speaker of the House, and yet John Boehner manages to miss it all -- as he guarantees his spot as the most spectacular failure in the history of Speakers of the House.

So seriously, just how dense is this guy? I’m not being flippant, or overly dramatic. His performance, in light of the momentous circumstances, necessitates just that question in the most literal and serious sense. Mr. Boehner, I frankly think you’re sort of stupid. Either that, or you are plagued by an amazing lack of situational awareness.

Consider: For months, the IRS has done their best to guarantee that they are known as nothing but part of the Democratic Party election machine. Lois Lerner remains such an unsympathetic figure that the last public photo of her might as well have been a set of legs with red slippers sticking out from under a house. Elijah Cummings has been exposed as a corrupt and inarticulate embarrassment, and an email trail is emerging that would make Nixon’s use of the IRS look like child’s play. This one scandal is an incredible teaching opportunity of the inherent evils of the liberal bureaucratic political state. Donald Rumsfeld understands this. Boehner? Not so much. He’s talking about immigration deform....

In Boehner’s case, compromised is probably a better description than either smart or stupid.

Also, he’s probably more of a liberal who ran conveniently to get elected than anyone would ever admit.

Put those two together and he was a shoo-in to lead the GOPe in Congress.

Being from Ohio, I was quite pleased when Boehner took over the House leadership. Man! He’s a total putz! I’m disappointed, and embarrassed!

Boehner stifles every effort to even slow the power grab by Obama and his ilk. I believe the speaker to be an obvious turncoat that not only opposes what he should be promoting but continues to cloak and confuse even the most obvious threats to our freedom.
He even publicly states his opposition to the most active members of the Conservative base and that they (we) should be crushed.
He must be either dirty or has no moral compass. Either way, he needs to be thrown out of his positions of power.

Ted Kennedy’s great good friend and ally in Congress?

He is a piece of work.

He plays like McConnell—making sufficient conservative noises to keep his seat, but reliably working for the opposition.

slower than molasses on frigidly cold night.
..slower than the slowest Ent. (H/TT)
slower than meaningful tax reform in Congress.

but faster Sen. Mitch "Rustler Reid's *itch"
McConnell (Himself-GOP), not by much.

Pink ties and tissues from Batman Boner but don’t worry—Boy Blunder ‘Can’tnor’ is waiting in the wings. The Joker in the WH truly runs wild as the GOPe drymanic duo flounder and flub away on a daily basis.

Worse, how feckless are the Republicans who vote this failure into the post of Speaker? He was not leader material, but they inexplicably elected him to that crucial post…twice!

The two are not mutually exclusive….I agree he’s compromised, but what is stupid about that is his best path to the most power for him personally in these times would be to do the right thing…..and yet, he’s too stupid to see it.

Boehner is the perfect selection for the “go along to get along” party.

Over the years the party has morphed from a conservative organization to that of a “touchy-feely” sham that feels the pain of everyone except true conservatives.

Boehner is a shining example of the perfect leader of the Republican party because:

He “won’t rock the boat.”
He “feels everyone’s pain.”
He cries in public.
He has a face that looks like Yogi-Bear.
Democrats love him.
He has no spine.
He exhibits no masculine traits.
And many, many more examples of the perfect “sissy.”

Not if crossing the opposition—with whom, again, I believe he agrees more than he lets on—would lead to his public destruction. I’m sure they could take him down in a minute if they had reason to.

Blutarsky led the rebellion , ran off with Mandy and became a Senator ... You’re right to compare Boner to Flounder.
