Peace be unto you;
as my Father hath sent me,
even so sent I you.
John 20:21

KEYWORDS: america; faith; military; prayer
Precious Lord,
The stone has been rolled away, the burial cloths shed. The shackles of death have been broken, and the victory has been won. Your resurrection changed everything, Lord. Had You stayed in the tomb, we would never know eternal life with You. Father, our hearts are full of love and thanksgiving for the gift of Jesus and the sacrifice He became for us. Now those who truly believe and follow You shall surely have a hope and a future. One solitary life has led to life eternal for those who accept Your incomprehensible love as payment for what we could not pay for ourselves. Thank You, Father, for so great a love---so great a gift.
Thank You for the peace that Your love has brought us. Your Word says that now You have sent us, even as You were sent. Now we are to carry forth in the manner of Your Word and Your love. Help us, Lord, for without You we can do nothing, but with You we can do all things as You strengthen us.
Lord, may each of our military personnel receive Your gift of life, love, forgiveness, and eternal security. No earthly benefits can come near to comparing with the eternal blessings that You have to offer. May every one of our servicemen and women know You and accept Your Gift.
May all Your people Israel be given the opportunity to hear the Gospel and to accept the Gift of salvation. Father, we pray for Your peace to always surround Your people and the land You have given them.
Now, Lord, we pray that You would help us to be the peacemakers, for You have called them blessed. May we be the love and peace of Jesus to all we meet and may our hearts be forever changed by the life and sacrifice of our Beautiful Savior. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

The nation is in it’s death throes. As a people we are turning our back on God, and we all know that will result in God turning His back on us.
I pray that we can survive the coming chaos of a broken nation.

Victory Over Death!
April 21, 2014
Read: John 5:24-30
An ancient painting I saw recently made a deep impression on me. Its title, Anastasis, means resurrection, and it depicts the triumph of Christs victory over death in a stunning way. The Lord Jesus, newly emerged from the tomb, is pulling Adam and Eve out of their coffins to eternal life. What is so amazing about this artwork is the way it shows how spiritual and physical death, the result of the fall, were dramatically reversed by the risen Christ.
Prior to His death on the cross, the Lord Jesus predicted a future day when He will call believers into a new and glorified existence: The hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice and come forth (John 5:28-29).
Because of Christs victory over death, the grave is not final. We naturally will feel sorrow and grief when those we love die and we are separated from them in this life. But the believer does not grieve as one who has no hope (1 Thess. 4:13). The witness of Jesus resurrection is that all Christians will one day be taken from their graves to be clothed with glorified resurrection bodies (1 Cor. 15:42-44). And so we shall always be with the Lord (1 Thess. 4:17).
Dear Lord, thank You for sacrificing Your life for our
sins so that we might live. Were thankful that
because You died and rose again, we can have
assurance that one day well be with You in a place of no more death.
Because Christ is alive, we too shall live.
In our passage today, John portrays Jesus as both life-giver and judge (5:24). As life-giver, Jesus gives us eternal life. As judge, Jesus will not condemn us (Rom. 8:1). God has given Jesus authority to be life-giver and judge because He is the Son of Man (John 5:27). The title the Son of Man is a Messianic title (Dan. 7:13-14) that speaks of Jesus deity and humanity. Jesus used the title synonymously with the Son of God (Matt. 26:63-64).

Lord, I pray for all those who’s live have been put in the position of danger for the sake of our nation. Many do not always think of them, but we know You are always watching out for them. Guide and protect all who are in the position of defending and supporting this nation You shed Your grace upon so many years ago.
In Jesus name Amen,

PRAYERS ASCENDING ON HIGH FOR OUR AMERICAN HEROES AND FOR OUR BELOVED NATION!
GEN. GEORGE WASHINGTON THE PRAYER AT VALLEY FORGE "Let Tyrants Shake Their Iron Rod" William Billings Mixed District Choir, Fairfax, Virginia (Click)
IN THE COLDEST and darkest days of the American Revolution, General George Washington raised his prayers for the survival of his beleaguered Army and of the new Nation. The Lord answered those prayers, upheld his Army through a punishing nadir to everlasting Glory, and bestowed His manifold benefits upon the new Nation.

FROM THE BRAVE, albeit weary, ill-equipped, and untrained volunteers who marched into Valley Forge on 19 December 1777 arose, with the help of some gallant friends from across the waves, the cohesive fighting force that became the United States Army, global defender of Freedom and scourge of Tyrants.
AS GENERAL WASHINGTON lifted his prayers on high in that bleak Winter, let our prayers now rise like a fountain for our Heroes in the American Armed Forces who seek to secure the benefits of Freedom on behalf of a people hungry for them. Father, look on our prayers for them with favor, guide their steps in righteousness and envelop them in the shelter of Your Healing Wings. Bless and uphold them in the performance of their Mission. Through Jesus Christ, Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.

HEAVENLY FATHER, Lord of the Nations, unto Your Divine Mercy we commend the souls of these valiant men and women who have fallen in the service of our Beloved Nation and in defense of the Freedoms we hold dear. We pray that You gather them in Your loving embrace, that You cause Your Countenance to shine upon them, and that You vouchsafe their souls to dwell eternally in Your Divine Presence. Through Jesus Christ Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.
