WASHINGTON -- The New York Times latest statistical evaluation of U.S. Senate contests gives Republicans a 64 percent chance of winning the Louisiana seat now held by three-term Democrat Mary Landrieu.
But it gives Democrats a 51 percent chance of retaining control of the Senate, a change from recent projections of a 54 percent Republican edge to capture the majority.

Not really.... They are prepping folks for the fall fail. It gives them another chance to slam ‘southerners’ for being ignorant white folks who really like nothing but old white guys. Somehow they will manage to twist it into a fascist view because the Louisiana voters are conducting a war on women

I believe Brown is polling only about 6% behind right now and he’s a pretty good campaigner.
It is still all going to depend on who the prevails in the Repub primaries. We need good conservatives, but we need electable ones as well.
Let’s not forget Angle in Arizona, Miller in Alaska and O’Donnell in Delaware. Should have had all three seats.
On the other hand, strong candidates like Mike Lee and Rand Paul did prevail. We need more like Lee and Paul.
We have to be smart about this.
By my count---that is, by the media's hysteria---it looks as though the GOP is set to win LA, CO, and NC.
Sorry, in my earlier post, meant Nevada where Harry Reid prevailed over Angle.
In hindsight, probably the biggest loss. He is crazy as a loon, but the low info voters (and networks) don’t know that.

Well you are entitled to your opinion, but Angle was a flawed candidate who had a poor record amongst the GOP in the Nevada Legislature where she fought with everyone. And while she lost to Reid, Reid’s bastard son, Rory, lost the Governorship by double digits and used his father’s name and campaign organization in so doing. Angle actually had the race in the bag until she started opening her mouth and letting the voters see exactly who she was.
Angle had the election stolen.
The power went out in Henderson and the unions who maintained the voting machines changed the vote.
First Angle was ahead by 4% and after the power came on she was behind 4%.
Also, all the hotels got orders to load up the busses and bus the staff of union members to the polls.
All MGM hotels went out to vote at the same time, along with other strip hotels. Harry is the gambling industry guy.
Angle was a true conservative, Nevada and the Senate lost that day.
Nobody here can say they prefer Harry Reid over Angle.
He ran one dirty campaign , that is why he is known here as Dingy Harry.
