The Bureau of Land Management is confirming it killed six cattle as part of its standoff against the Bundy Ranch in Bunkersville, NV.
A total of six cattle died or were euthanized, a BLM official told Breitbart News.
The official listed the dead livestock cataloged by the BLM explaining, The Bundy branded bull that was euthanized posed a significant threat to employees during the gather. The Bundy branded cow ran into a fence panel injuring its spine and was euthanized. The dead animals listed by the official were:
1 Bundy branded bull was euthanized 1 Bundy branded cow was euthanized 1 unbranded bull was euthanized 1 unbranded cow was euthanized 1 unbranded bull died 1 unbranded cow died
According to the BLM, the gather was based on recent court orders. Most recently, in 2013, in two separate orders, the U.S. District Court of Nevada directed Mr. Bundy to remove his cattle within 45 days, and authorized the United States to impound his cattle, said the official.

PETA protest in 3... 2... 1...
Bundy is a conservative, Reid is a Dem, so you won’t be hearing a peep from them.
and we are supposed to believe this??
PETA has no sympathy for evil, conservative animals.
The other missing 200 were hauled up to the Andromeda Galaxy by an invisible tractor beam.
Like how they call it a “gather”.
how many rare protected turtles did they crush?
These so called experts they contracted to go round up the cattle didn’t think a bull might not want to go with them? I can truly say I wish the bull had won.
Absolutely not...Believe what you want...But I am sure there is a logical, reasonable explanation of all the facts (/sarc) involved with this entire incident...
What a waste of meat and or money!!
Nursing cows and bulls are a lot more valuable then that. They are the foundation of the herd and represent future earnings !
Two bulls ( around here sale of semen can bring in considerable income for years if they are quality bred)
Producing cows are much higher value then streets for market
We’re talking about sizable damage!
“Died”. In an earlier report they used the term “run to death”.
What caliber euthanizer did they use?
I’m beginning to think the BLM plan was infiltrated. Not even .gov workers could mess up an operation this badly.
MWUAHAHAHA if true.
It was an "assault bull" - very dangerous-looking.
They have it backwards. The BLM was the significant threat to the livestock.
You can't just storm an area and agitate people and animals that are used to being there, and then slaughter them on the grounds that they are a threat to you.
That is a despotic act.
Of course you are correct, I just did a quick calculation not knowing the disposition.
I can truly say I wish the bull had won.
A total of six cattle were run to death or shot to death.
PETA did speak out against both the BLM and Bundy for killing cows albeit for different reasons. Love how BLM sanitizes the slaughter by saying they euthanized the cows. Looked like way more than 6 were buried in that bulldozed hole.
Apparently the method they used to round up the cattle was the method most likely to cause a disruption in the Turtle habitat and to kill the most turtles.
Obviously this had nothing to do with the turtles and everything to do with lining the pockets of Reid and his family.
I read that he has a special breed of cattle hardened to the desert lifestyle. They have been raised there and selectively bred, for 140 years. So, killing one of the few bulls kills something that can’t be replaced with money. He can’t buy a regular bull and have it be adapted to his ranch’s conditions. It would not surprise me if the BLM intentionally killed bulls in order to hasten the end of the ranch.

Today they’re “euthanizing” cows, tomorrow they”ll be euthanizing us.
All in the public interest, of course.
Cold bloodedly shot using assault weapons by extremists...
“The Bundy branded bull that was euthanized posed a significant threat to employees during the gather.”
Translation: “It’s coming right for us! *blam*! *blamblam*! *blamblamblamblamblamblamblam*! (reloads)*blamblam*! *blamblamblamblamblamblamBLAM*!
(writes up a bill to Bundy for the cost of the ammo).
“The Bundy branded cow ran into a fence panel injuring its spine and was euthanized.”
Ran of its own free will, or terrorized by a bunch of armed strangers until it stampeded in panic?
The chain of command needs to be identified and "the decider" determined.
I strongly suspect that the decision to fold was made above the level of BLM Special Agent Daniel P. Love and Sheriff Gillespie.
The contractor scammed the BLM out almost $1 million for this botched roundup using mercenary cowboys.
One of the Bundy sons gave a walk-through of the pen in question and pointed out the total lack of damage.
More likely, they roped the bull’s horns and drug him out with a bobcat.
Not to mention just how will they ever get these cattle to market?
It was probably just like shooting a dog. Those guard cows can be vicious.
Sheriff Gillespie.....is a greenie lefty, therefore NOT LE but a put in place co-conspirator.
DISMANTLE BLM. Imprison its agents and hard time for Harry POS Reid.
Internal enemies/domestic terrorists ALERT!
Yep, you don’t abandon generators and other valuable equipment unless you get a call from above to abort mission.
Perhaps Monsanto threatened to sue if they called it a "round up".
He looks like a used-car salesmaggot.
Eric Idle and John Cleese were contracted to “euthanize” the cattle using a trebouchet.
The Branch Davidians didn't stand a chance against that mindset and neither will the next group. The Bundy family was lucky to have good, well-armed and fed up neighbors, along with a lot of publicity.
Like obama was heard saying off camera, he's really good at killing people, whether he's using flying drones or the drones of some alphabet agency.
That's not just the "Chicago Way", it's the demonrat's way.
The selected/volunteer Utah meat processor apparently received $300,000.
How many cows did the BLM steal, originally? I've read (here on FR) numbers from 200 to 900. "One" would be too many, but I'm curious.
Out of that, how many would be a "reasonable", "Believable", "pick-a-word" number to have met their maker during the time they were being driven around?
Of course, the answer is "Zero", if they're your cows being stolen. But I'd figure that livestock that size, being herded around from place to place, must come with some amount of risk, both to the animals AND the herders.
And the previous posters, discussing that there sure looked like a lot more cows in the hole the BLM left .... is spot on. Speculation that the BLM stalled until they'd covered up (or attempted to cover up) what they'd done....makes a whole lot more sense, to me. At least, that's what Occam's razor says, barring a more succinct explanation.
Can we do a quick check of Arizona Laws?
I’d bet there is still one out there for “deliberately stampeding cattle”.
Did you see Greta last night. The animals were shot multiple times and endured a great deal of suffering befor death. Each of the four cows were nursing young.
