LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) Police confirm guns and badges were stolen from a high school locker room in Boyle Heights during an officers charity football game.
A LAPD football team was playing officers from San Diego Saturday at Salesian High School when someone got into the locker room and rifled through the gym bags of the San Diego officers.
Detectives say three handguns were taken along with jewelry, watches and badges.
There was no sign of forced entry, leading detectives to think the locker room door was mistakenly left open.
The investigation is ongoing.
Dumb cops, I don’t suppose they will be charged under California’s Gun Laws, will they?
Is it permissible to roll on the floor while laughing and chocking with laughter?
Baadgees?
“leading detectives to think the locker room door was mistakenly left open”
No accounting for STUPID!
It’s only against the law for YOU to not safely secure your firearms...
Ha.
I think this story exposes what the real agenda is, disarm citizens of their right to protect themselves.
Paging Eric Holder,Paging Eric Holder.
Locker room theft (at high school stadiums) seems to happen every football season around here. I guess everybody is so excited about the game nobody is paying attention to the lockers.
It’s always a big cache of smartphones, iPads, etc.
I wonder why the LAPD guys didn’t have any of their possessions stolen?
Would be funny if it weren’t for gang bangers having more resources.
Whoever planned this is responsible along with the creeps who committed the thievery.
I have a brother in law who fired from LAPD. He and his wife live like zillionaires.
Keep wondering where the $$$ comes from....
They left weapons unsecured?
Locked or not, a locker room door does NOT constitute secure storage. Sidearms should have at the very least been placed in a padlocked gym locker, and access to the area controlled by a guard during the event.
How about storing guns in lets say “CARS and VEHICLES” !!!
Exactly. Why was there not a policeman stationed outside the locker rooms? That, or leave your weapons at home.
Now you see? If they disarmed the cops to begin with, this wouldnt have happened. /s
