President Barack Obama grabbed dinner at one of the world's most exclusive restaurants while visiting Tokyo on Wednesday.
Sukiyabashi Jiro has no set menu and meals typically last 15 to 20 minutes - but 20 pieces of sushi will set you back 30,000 Japanese yen (about $300).
And that's if you're lucky enough to land one of only ten seats in the cozy basement venue.

As an aside, I highly recommend the documentary about this place, Jiro Dreams of Sushi. Should be still on Netflix.
It’s a little 10 seat place in a subway station. And talk about a work ethic.
Anyway ... again. Highly recommend.

There are no tables there. It’s all seats at the counter. The documentary about the place, “Jiro Dreams of Sushi” is great, all about practicing to reach perfection.

Jiro’s work ethic is something that Obama and his minions despise. It goes against everything they stand for.
The satire just writes itself these days. Where is the president of the commoner?
Obama and his despicable wife are nothing more than the “gibs me dat” variety, on steroids.
While prices can be high in Tokyo, $300 for 20 pieces of sushi on a rush, rush schedule seems pretentious at least. A “stand in line” sushi place in Shinjuku seem the better choice and likely better sushi.
