Rand Paul: “Not Changing Any Laws on Abortion,” Life at Conception a “Personal” Belief

Rand Paul is a pro-life Senator from Kentucky who appears poised to become one of the candidates for the Republican nomination for president in 2016. Although he has a strong pro-life voting record, Paul is making comments about abortion that are concerning pro-lifers.

randpaul3As LifeNews reported earlier this year, Paul said in an interview that Republicans should agree to disagree on social issues.

Now, in a new interview, Paul says he doesn’t anticipate changing the laws on abortion and added that his belief that life begins at conception is a personal and religious one, not a scientific viewpoint.

He is scrambling.

Had this conversation with the ambivalent today:

When did we find out Jesus was with us?

At the Annunciation, when God placed him here.

Who is the creator of life?

Same - God

God let us know at least in that case, life begins at that point.

So, abortion kills a person.

When people say women get to have control over their bodies, they leave out that they have control over chastity.

And they still don’t get to kill babies conceived through violent acts.

Therefore:

When people say that life doesn’t begin when God tells us it begins, and natural law and common sense tells us this, as well, for whatever stupid reason they have, that’s just freedom of speech.

It doesn’t make the truth different.

Life begins at conception, whether people say it doesn’t, whether they believe it doesn’t or whether they don’t want it to be true or not.

Any politician or celeb or anyone else, who, like Obama, Mooch, Mary Tyler Moore, Preachers, Romney, or Paul or any dopey high school student who states that life begins when we want it to, denies the truth and it will never change it.

Abortion is murder.

Birth control is the cause of confusion, abortion is an effect.

The truth is simple. It does not have to be easy in fact people HAte the truth.

But it is simple

And Rand Paul, as I always say, is wacko.

Strange Paul and Bush are moving to the center when primary voters prefer conservatives.

And, at that instant in time, it’s immediately human - it can never under any circumstances be a dog or a peony or a goldfish - nothing but a human.

No, it’s always been so, more or less.

We don’t have mob rule in the Constitution.

Majority should never rule, truth, natural law, and the founding documents are the rule. When they are not, this is what we have.

there are many credible arguments that Roe v wade is unconstitutional.

It was a privacy issue, negating the fact that fetus’ are human, same as slavery, and it will end the same, our progeny horrified that we allowed the murder of 53 million and who knows how many by the time we’re done, and how many have been killed by abortifacients. CDC has it at around 200 million.

That’s what majority rule gets you, in the world of liberal media who would have us believe it’s a majority, and who pushes the sentiment.

Humans have their own DNA at conception.

Mob rule cannot change the truth.

I understand where you are coming from. I sympathize. Unfortunately that ship has sailed. Our Republic won’t be coming back. At least not in its current configuration. Our constitutional form of government makes certain assumptions about the people it governs. When those assumptions are no longer valid then the Constitution has no meaning.

So in the final analysis it doesn’t matter what Rand Paul thinks or does. The rubric of the Constitution is no longer suited to address the issue. The same goes for Mark Levin and his Liberty amendments/convention of the states movement.

If you were really pro-life, as you claim, you would know that Rand Paul introduced S. 583, the Life at Conception Act on March 14, 2013. This bill would extend the Constitutional protection of life to the unborn from the time of conception. He was also the original co-sponsor of the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act in the Senate (S. 946), which would cut off all federal funding for abortion. His voting pro-life voting record is 100% according to Right To Life; no Republican senator can match that. So which of your Republican candidates has done more for the cause of pro-life?

his belief that life begins at conception is a personal and religious one, not a scientific viewpoint

What a bizarre comment by Rand Paul. Of course it's scientific that life begins at conception.

Otherwise, abortionists wouldn't have to kill it.

That's just about the dumbest comment I've heard in years....that's as bad as Kerry telling high school kids to study hard or they'd end up in Iraq as soldiers.

“He knows damn well life begins at conception.”

To liberals, an unborn baby is a tissue. Just like nobody mourns for billions of dead sperms after ejaculation or dead eggs after each menstrual cycle, liberals don’t care about the fertilized egg. To them, what you call “life” is just a clump of cells that die every day in your body at the rate of 100 million every minute.

Socons need to understand that libertarians like Paul are eager to throw us under the bus. There is no reluctance.

We are the bad guys they deem will earn them dem and independent votes.

He said that life begins at conception.

Did you even watch the interview?

Don't come here on a Rand Paul thread with your facts! People don't want to hear them! They'd much prefer politicians who pay lip-service to their single issues, making pledges and empty promises that they can't possibly keep in order to win their votes.

If you listen to the interview, Paul never says that life beginning at conception is not scientific.

He just does not say that.

It is not helping the pro-life side to lie about what people have said.
