If PETA could have resisted sounding like sarcastic, fussy blamemakers, they probably could have gotten what they want, the Towering Turkey Monument. PETA still may get it, but when they use slanted phrases like “Terrified Turkeys” or start evangelizing for their Vegan lifestyles unrequested, people are far less likely to help them out. A huge, realistic Turkey statue would be nice, but to read some plaque at the bottom of the statue calling us horrible stupid neanderthals for continuing to defy their meat free utopian ideals would e tedious and imposing, not so nice.

Let them. Let the world witness a monument to their stupidity. Let them buy the land, erect the memorial and care for it. Of course only with a deposit tgat will cover the cost of demolition once the novelty wears off.
