The U.S. Embassy in Afghanistan confirmed Thursday that three American doctors were killed by an Afghan security guard who opened fire at a Kabul hospital.
The shooting at Cure International Hospital in the western part of the Afghan capital was the latest attack on foreign civilians in the city this year. Two others, including an American nurse, were wounded, according to Afghanistan's Health Ministry.
"With great sadness we confirm that three Americans were killed in the attack at CURE Hospital," said a statement posted on the Embassy's Twitter page. "No other information will be released at this time."
Afghanistan Minister of Health Soraya Dalil told the Associated Press that two of the dead were a visiting father and son. Dalil added that the other victim was a Cure International doctor who had worked for seven years in Kabul.

I can not imagine why any American, doctor or other profession, would go to that moslem infested pit of death and despair. I wonder how many will still remain there and what their rational may be?
The people there obviously enjoy their life of jihadi fun, so why egg them on by helping them survive it?
We shouldn't be there. The original way Afghanistan was sold to the US was to apprehend the 911 terrorists. We're way past that excuse to be there.

If memory serves me correctly, didn’t Russia get mired down in Afghanistan with one of the results WE allowed MANY Russian immigrants because Russia couldn’t support them if they called off their Military Operations? — which virtually resulted in ‘us’ allowing hardened Russian troops to relocate to Brooklyn with basically no other skills than survival and ‘murder’, hence the ‘Russian Mafia’ was either born or given a huge boost up?
Also believe that the ‘Russians ‘weekend’ with Afghanistan was a major problem of bankrupting them’, thus ‘allowing’ us to ‘win’ the Cold War?
I believe ‘we’ were also warned of the dangers of a long term engagement in Afghanistan ....
They truly seem to be a people who just want to be left alone and a ‘true’ example of a nation armed with sort of prehistoric weapons, getting an occasional stinger or two from the people who would like to see the ‘invaders’ lose - we did it against Russia and apparently it is being done to us by our ‘not so friendly ‘friends’’.
I guess you could almost call Afghanistan the modern version of ‘Can a Handgun beat an Army’ not once, but for the second time in modern times they are ‘holding’ their own against a Major power.
Even convincing their conqueror/benefactor into training and arming them so they can turn against their conqueror/benefactor.
Just as you never point a gun at another person, and always treat it as if it is loaded...
Treat a muslim as if it is loaded. Don't put it near a person, don't aim a muslim at any person without the intent to kill.

Sadness hell! It is to be expected. A sane individual would never stick their head into the mouth of a lion without expecting to be bit. This is not the first time incidents such as this happened there.
Addendum to post 33: The British learned. The Russians learned. The Americans refuse to learn. The reason the Americans refuse to learn is that those responsible for sending the cannon fodder over there don’t have to risk their hides. They sit behind a desk in an air conditioned office playing with their secretary’s legs and boobs while real people die real deaths for nothing.
You never know when a trusted Muslim is going to get religion.
Somewhere along the line Muslims will realize they shouldn't be co-operating with us Infidels, but should be killing us Infidels.(Like Major Hassan at Ft Hood and many other examples)
If we leave a few thousand of our Infidel soldiers behind in Afghanistan stories like this will be cropping up every few months. Unfortunately those Infidel soldiers won't have any choice in being there.- Tom
