Russia has begun extensive military exercises on its Ukrainian border following the escalation of violence in eastern Ukraine.

“The order to use force against civilians has already been given, and if this military machine is not stopped, the amount of casualties will only grow,” Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said during an official meeting in Moscow.

“We are forced to react to the situation.”

Shoigu said that the drills involve march and deployment exercises by forces in the southern and western military districts, and separate Air Force maneuvers.

Kiev Post:

4:32 p.m. — Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said on April 24 that the violence stemming from Ukraine’s anti-terror operation in eastern Ukraine has prompted Russia to launch military drills in western Russia.

“The forces are clearly unequal,” Shoigu said at a ministerial collegium meeting.

“If this military machine is not stopped today, it will lead to a large number of dead and wounded,” he continued.

“The announcement of the drills of NATO troops in Poland and the Baltic States” is only worsening the situation, said the Defense Minister.

“We have to react to such developments. As of today, our battalion tactical combined-arms groups from the southern and western military districts have begun drills in areas bordering Ukraine. The troops will practice marches and tactical deployment...as necessary. Additionally, our aviation units will perform flights to practice operations near our national border,” he said.

It’s good for Ukrainians to make personal accounts, videos, etc., of Ukrainian military attacks on Ukrainian citizens, and get the first-hand accounts on the internet.

Hopefully they have the courage and abilities they need to do this.

Hopefully they will get any help they need to fight for themselves.

If enough Ukrainians mass and stand together, and simply stand in front of their oppressors, their sacrifices will be worth it for Ukraine.

The people of the world have to stop submitting to the corrupt, pedophile, thieving, debt slavers that are “financial elites”.

Story has been updated:

Russia has begun extensive military exercises in Ukrainian border area following the escalation of violence in eastern Ukraine.

“The order to use force against civilians has already been given, and if this military machine is not stopped, the amount of casualties will only grow,” Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said during an official meeting in Moscow.

“War games by NATO in Poland and the Baltic states are not helping the normalization of the situation. We are forced to react to the situation.”

Shoigu said that the drills involve march and deployment exercises by forces in the southern and western military districts, and separate Air Force maneuvers.

Shoigu said that 11,000 Ukrainian soldiers, 160 tanks, 230 armored carriers and at least 150 artillery pieces are involved in the operation against anti-Kiev activists.

“National guard units and Right Sector extremists are fighting against the peaceful population, as well as a volunteer Donbass ‘anti-terrorist’ unit. Also security and internal forces transferred to Lugansk and Donetsk from other areas of the country are suppressing dissent,” the minister said.

He added that Ukrainian sabotage units have been deployed near the Russian border.

In contrast, Shoigu said that the pro-Russian self-defense units number about 2,000 and have about 100 guns between them, which have mostly been taken from local police stations.

I’d even venture to say that you must then be a Bushista, and a Klintonista and an Obamista.

Because you’re backing up the culmination of this program, the one they’ve been running for 25 years, called:

“bring democracy to Ukraine”.

Of course, along with bringing “bankocracy” to all of eastern Europe and the entire third world.

I’m no longer going along with our military adventures.

The list has gotten far too long, for what always winds up being about central banking and oil, not at all about freedom or democracy or bringing prosperity to the third world.

I support national defense, this stuff is not about national defense.

Letting thugs like Putin have free reign is always the best national defense strategy, right?

The Bear and the Bees
an Aesop Fable

A bear came across a log where a swarm of bees had nested to make their honey. As he snooped around, a single little bee flew out of the log to protect the swarm. Knowing that the bear would eat all the honey, the little bee stung him sharply on the nose and flew back into the log.

This flew the bear into an angry rage. He swatted at the log with his big claws, determined to destroy the nest of bees inside. This only alerted the bees and quick as a wink, the entire swarm of bees flew out of the log and began to sting the bear from head to heel. The bear saved himself by running to and diving into the nearest pond.

It is better to bear a single injury in silence than to bring about a thousand by reacting in anger.

I don't think the Kyiv Post is designed for Western readers although we may read it. RT is designed to sell falsehood to people just like us - people who oppose Obama and his statist henchmen. It is clearly effective from the evidence I see on FR.

We need to remember that although we detest Obama, we love America and should not believe lies that feed into our anger.

All media everywhere need to be used carefully. If the Kyiv Post, for example, reports that a government official said something, it is just that: a report that someone said something. Insofar as that constitutes a piece of information, it’s valuable. A separate question is whether it’s a true statement.

American trades with Russia to the tune of BILLIONS.

Would you say the Chinese regime is repressive, or a wonderful republic ?

Do I have to tell you how much we trade with them ?

These “enemies” of the US...

are only mentioned by the “conservative” media and pundits WHEN THEY WANT THE CONSERVATIVE SHEEPLE TO SUPPORT A NEW WAR.

Do they give a rats behind about conservatives other than that ?

No, they sell us down the river to every police state, statist, communist scheme the US government puts in place over the people of America.

So I WILL NEVER BE CONVINCED that the people calling for attacking Russia and HELPING THE POOR UKRAINIANS JOIN THE EU don’t have enslavement of the Ukrainians in mind. They don’t want to free them from Russia, they want to enslave them to the EU.

Ukraine ALREADY trades - billions worth - with BOTH EU and Russia.

So this is NOT about trade.

The EU is simply slowly, methodically GROWING.

Even a hick American like me can read this article:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_union

and see that IT JUST KEEPS GROWING, ABSORBING SMALL COUNTRIES.

DUHH..... I WONDER WHAT THEY’RE DOING.

I may be dumb but I ain’t stupid.

Let the Ukrainians keep trading with Russia and the EU.

If the EU can’t absorb them, tough.

If Ukraine is smart, they will stop their government from BORROWING MORE AND MORE AND MORE.

Eventually, it gets to $18 trillion.

Then, you’re screwed.

You seem to be on Russia's side. Putin is a thug. Russia remains our enemy. As far as I'm concerned, you are trying to drum up support for Putin. Sorry, Pete. I won't bite on the "Fortress America" crap, not in this modern age. It's childish and self-defeating.

Opposing Putin's czarist lust is not equal to supporting American globalism. The bad guys deserve to get punched in the nose. Those who won't do it are cowards.
