Sadly this is not even surprising any more. There are already many people on Free Republic, for whom the information about Ukraine they share must come straight from the KGB-s mouth, so they almost exclusively post stories ran by RT, Voice of Russia and ITAR-Tass. The Nation is nothing special compared to these sources.

I have been in a Catholic church in Poland where you can see memorial plaques as far you can read them ending in the phrase, "Deported to Auschwitz". Sometimes you see a man's name and woman's name followed by smaller names: the whole family was sent to the camps.

Probably the geographically closest disaster to Ukraine was FDR's and Churchill's support of the rogue Communist Tito over Serbian anti Nazi patriots at the close of WWII.
Far more of the collaboration came from the American left and media, than the American right, the European "right" was nonexistent, with the Fascist Nazis being passed off as rightists by the MSM to discredit the American right, while America was turned hard left.
Now the American government and American MSM act exactly like the Fascists and closely related Communists they are, and project their crimes and values onto everyone who opposes them.
Ya need a historic scorecard to tell which side the players are playing on, and when they have changed teams and why.
You won't find it in the American or Western European MSM, but you will find it in the rise and fall of nations.

I don’t think there is a real European right at all.
The only reason they are called ‘right-wing’ by leftist hatemongers is their attitude to race and ethnic issues which is nowhere near ideas of conservatism but leftists wants you to think otherwise. It is an exact projection.

UK is pretty much different than continental Europe on that matter but their mainstream ‘conservatives’ aren’t any better than McCain these days.
The English standard is a "civilized" deference to unaccountable administrative control.
Not unlike the present US government.
