I was reading an old archived news clipping from 1968 or therabouts, and chuckled to myself when I read the words “peace process” regarding a story about Isreal and their nasty neighbors. Some things never change.

Kerry blamed Israel for the talks failure. But Ehud Ohmert Labor PM was willing to give up half Jerusalem, and 97% of land won back in 1967 and Abbas said no.
Going back to Golda Meir the Israelis have offered peace.
Abbas got over the years thousand plus murderers released and what did Israel get.
Hamas plus the PA = Pamas entity 2 organizations who’s charter has in writing the destruction of Israel and death to the Jews.

Israel has a finer line to walk than most. Everything the PA does is set up to fail and then they point the finger at Israel. That aside, yes I like to see them kick-butt.

The term “process” is a LOADED TERM meant to strong-arm the Israelis into giving the Palestinians the store. As far as I know, a “process” has a defined end-point...like fabricating something from plastic...you put pellets in one end, a timing belt cover comes out comes out the other end. That is a process. In this case, they are implying that they know the outcome and all that happens now that both sides make it look like they tried to be tough (for their own public consumption).
If the outcome is not known, then the PROPER term is “peace talks” or something like that. But they INSIST on using the term “process”. It’s so ingrained now, I doubt anyone realizes just how loaded the term is, other than us.
