I had to show ID the last time I voted. So no more? I can vote as many times as I can get away with?

if we don’t need IDs to vote, why do we need IDs to ride an airplane? drive a car? rent a moped? buy cigarettes?

according to the Constitution, voting is a right of every CITIZEN. therefore, it is required to verify CITIZENSHIP before being allowed to vote.

... saying it violates the state constitution by adding a requirement that voters must meet before casting a ballot.

At least the judge isn't talking about the federal Constitution, the states having never amended the Constitution to prohibit states from prohibiting people who don't show a valid photo ID from voting.

And I don't know what the Arkansas constitution says about this issue so will be waiting for further information.

And there are still people who think we still live in a “democracy”?

i.e. Years ago, California citizens voted on and passed Propostion 187 which said no taxpayer-provided freebies for illegals. Very popular proposition. Passed easily.

Some political hack appointed to be a judge overturned the Will of the People.

When one man dictates to millions, you are definitely not living in a Democracy.

and don’t we all miss the good old days when Democrats were in such dire straights as a minority, even with any successful voter fraud,it wasn’t enough to overtake Reagan and both Bush’s.,Nowadays we have deep blue districts reporting their tallys last in a Purple State? anyone smell a few rats?

... adding a requirement that voters must meet before casting a ballot.

Gee, I had to pass a test to get a driver's license.
I also had to pass as expensive, multi-day testing process to earn my professional license.
Many activities require an ID.
The ONLY reason to oppose voter ID is the desire to steal elections more easily.

“Facial recognition biometrics” and fingerprints on drivers’ licenses is not enough. We all need to be microchipped to protect our superiors from us.

More seriously, get rid of the insanity and go back to paper records and paper ballots in order to avoid identity theft. “Der twees” are being neglected.

"requires voters to show photo identification"

Whoah. No requirement for a special ID for voting? A drivers' license or ID card will do it? Interesting and reasonable. I'd only seen the calls for a separate, special ID for voting until now. Little irked by requirements in so many offices for proof of physical address, fingerprints, etc.

Anyway, in many locales, cutting personal spending and personal building projects in order to lower taxes is a more effective political tool than voting for corrupt candidates.
