Mr. Weaver appears in the documentary “Runaway Slave” which, if you have not yet seen, is worth viewing. In the film his description of tribalism is dead on.
Love it. I hope all the hardworking, God-fearing, critical thinking black people go conservative and educate others of their race because the MSM has done everything they can to keep the voice of reason from reaching the black and latino populations (disclaimer: this is not a racist statement; i could ind no other verbiageof a more sensitve nature that would accurately convey the message accurately...: )
Underground Railroad? Plantation mentality? Yikes, this guy certainly isn’t endearing himself with the likes of Sharpton or Obama! Or even Powell, for that matter.
Of course they will, what are you thinking?
He’s “not really black” because he’s a conservative.
Sad but true.
Racial slurs from the Left are soon to follow.
Among a large class, there seemed to be a dependence upon the government for every conceivable thing. The members of this class had little ambition to create a position for themselves, but wanted the federal officials to create one for them. How many times I wished then and have often wished since, that by some power of magic, I might remove the great bulk of these people into the country districts and plant them upon the soil upon the solid and never deceptive foundation of Mother Nature, where all nations and races that have ever succeeded have gotten their start a start that at first may be slow and toilsome, but one that nevertheless is real.
- Booker T. Washington, Up from Slavery
There are so many blacks now coming to realize what we on the right predicted would happen to them going back as far as 60 years ago, by virtue of the dependency culture.
Under Barack Obama, it is liberalism itself, with its need to maintain its power by increasing dependency, which will in the end cause the destruction of the “plantation” mentality. I know they pretty much all voted for him, all the more reason for them to take another look at what we’ve been trying to tell them.
Clarence Thomas. Larry Elder. Niger Innis. Star Parker. Angela McGlowan. Alan West. Ben Carson. Thomas Sowell. Walter Williams. These are prominent names helping to educate and turn the tide. And countless others we probably don’t know about.
Some things have to be learned the hard way, and that may be Barack Obama’s greatest contribution to the conservative cause.
Let's not forget Lloyd Marcus!
Mental enslavement is far worse than physical enslavement because a person can mentally enslave oneself and not realize it.
Where if one is only physically enslaved it is far easier to realize you are actually enslaved, all you need to do is look at the chains that are currently binding you.
I liken it to elephants who are tied to a stake when they are babies.
Ever wonder why they don’t break away when they grow up, even though they have more than enough strength to do so?
Good point.
I agree, and your observation applies to more common abuses, also.
Mental abuse is more difficult to recognize than physical abuse, and, so, can be more dangerous.

It seems to be how the RINOs are kept in line too....
RINOs today are elephants tied to the stake of big government....
I freed a thousand slaves I could have freed a thousand more if only they knew they were slaves. - Harriet Tubman
